I would actually support an Empire run by Thrawn. I don't even think he's really evil. He's just a tactician that believes in efficiency and order. I know this is not cannon, but I love how Thrawn lets his pirate friend go, knowing that he may betray him, but this way ending their relationship on a high note instead. He's vicious, but honorable, which makes him so cool. Maybe that's why he's blue.

Man, this series are awesome! I especially love the twist at the end. Such a well-crafted story and the interpretation of each characters was 'on point'. I only wish these were canon right now. You should definitely consider a career writing Sci-Fi novels or working with the Lucasflim story group. They could really use someone who understand military tactics and strategies.

I know I'm a bit late, but this is perhaps my favorite Star Wars fan-fic on KZbin. Well it's close between your Thrawn material and Banditincorperated's re-working of the prequels. A fantastic exploration and understanding of these characters dude! There are not many times we see actual naval strategy come into play in Star Wars. So it's always a treat when Thrawn comes along. The dynamic between Thrawn and Vader is very much like that between General Lee and General Grant in the Civil war. One is a superior strategist that appreciates the higher art of war (Lee/Thrawn). The other is a determined commander who will do whatever is necessary to achieve victory, even throwing bodies at the enemy (Grant/Vader). I cannot wait until Timothy Zahn's upcoming novel Thrawn: Alliances where we will get to see what happens when these two are forced to work together.

Wouldn’t Thrawn in this situation just have the Chimaera stop firing and keep the shields up with Vader’s Tie incoming? Unless he was intentionally faking his death. Really cool battle space battle situation though.

Something I would like to see is an Empire vs Stargate scenario. If you want a possibly cannon reason for such a thing, how about having the super gate not be built by the Ori, but the Ancients long ago and only just discovered. This would replace the Ori war in the Stargate timeline. This would give the Stargate universe an opponent that could be fought with conventional means. Unlike the Ori who had ships that were way too OP to fight.

Jacob Clark Since this would be taking place during seasons 9 and 10, the Goa'uld aren't really a factor anymore. Except for Ba'al of course, one must never forget him. He might show up as an informant and Ally of the empire. Imagine him and Thrawn teaming up for a while. Things would be very bad during that time.

Thrawns not wrong about the Borg, in 2365 the Enterprise D was flung into the path of an oncoming Cube thanks to Q. a later in 2366 Wolf 359 happened kicking Starfleets ass to hell and back. Sisko was apart of that Task force and onboard the USS Saratoga a Miranda class. despite the Borg assimilating Picard, he did gain a lot of knowledge on the borg and how to beat them. Hopefully Thrawn can do the same if not more.

No one defeats LORD VADER. But Thrawn played a good trick. However the pre-planning that he planned the software in advance a year before this and no one discarded it because it was written by Thrawn makes me think it's a little ASB. But I definitely enjoyed it.

Brick Battle what you said is true but think about what would happen if they did discard the software. Now they think they have beat the trap and they are all still stuck in the debris field with the super star destroyer blocking their path to join the fight. So basically this part of the plan didn't matter and was just a decoy for his real attack, which was still just another trick its pure genius.

Alexane Rose true but still Vader has Force which would allow him to have foresight into the matter before it even happened. Had Captain Piett been in charge of Death Squadron the battle could have ended quietly differently. Notice how Admiral Dumbass. (My name for admiral Oswald.) just charged in. Piett and likely Vader would have seen the obvious trap. Like come on a narrow choke point. Your asking to get bottled up in the debris field or ambushed by ships on the other side of the passage. I managed to see this coming and I'm not Vader.

Alexane Rose However Piett was not in charge of the force and thus I accept that this battle is realistic besides the entire friendly fire bit. Primarily because of Oswalds ignorance and stupidity. Two glaring character flaws that Thrawn smartly exploited to his advantage.

But had someone with a sharper mind like Piett had been commanding the fleet and another officer was in charge of the Executor then Piett would have had the foresight to do some recon before charging in. This would reveal upon closer inspection there were no ships of Thrawn's in the system and thus only a couple Star Destroyers would be trapped in the passage and the rest would still be caught with their asses to Thrawn and they'd lose quite a few ships. But they'd eventually manage to turn and bring their weapon systems to bear against Thrawn's forces. Then the executor could have jumped in behind Thrawn's fleet and given him a little taste of his own medicine. But that didn't happen because Piett or another commander with half a brain wasn't in command. However Thrawn likely could have pulled a indecisive victory out of the battle and at worse he could have delivered a phyric victory to the empire.

I agree, but I also admit that such a thing CAN actually happen. The Force can do some incredible things, but Vader would have known that the Shield had to go down in a certain area. If you had extremely good timing, reflexes (which his Cybernetics could actually provide I think), and a little luck...Well the chances are still extremely low, but it CAN happen. And even a 0.00000001% chance is STILL a chance. I'd explain why more, but I don't really feel like it. :/ To shorten it, you just need to be EXTREMELY skilled to go right through the shield, and also be extremely good at deflecting blaster bolts/using cover.

They eventually were re-integrated but only the high ranked officers knew thrawn was still alive; at least in the Thrawn novels the Chimera was known to be at the battle of Endor - if that is still canon. Thrawn will easily re-assume command of his fleet, if/when he returns.

It's possible that at this current point in time Thrawn doesn't know much about the Force(if anything) and therefore didn't think to use a Ysalamiri. Perhaps that was part of Thrawn's plan, to understand the Force and devise countermeasures again't it. But that's just my headcannon at this point.
