2 things I liked when watching Dart stream this game: 1. The scene where you're coordinating with a drone and ground soldiers when trying to arrest Hades in Greece. It seemed like the game actually using tactical gameplay instead of just point and shoot for once. - 2. The ending where you fight with one arm. Dart's right about it changing the dynamic of the game. If only more the game had segments like that (ie Mitchell is forced to fight after his arm glitches out like it did in training)

13:00 The exosuits were an afterthought. Literally every level of the game was designed before the suits were a thing. They clearly added them late in development. Notice how every level changes what your suit can do? Like magically in some levels you can't exo-jump anymore? Its because they didn't design the levels with all the exo-abilities in mind. Now, play a game like Crysis series and notice how the levels and situations accommodate the suit? Because they thought about the suit from the start, not at the end.

I'm surprised you haven't given more sins to the weapons since they're some of the goofiest guns in the franchise and are ripe for mockery: -The big laser pointer LMG somehow has recoil -The M16/M4 platform seemingly did not make it to the future, but it's much maligned cousin the M14 platform somehow did. Completely unchanged too, somehow -The SAC3 is an SMG platform that is specifically designed to be dual-wielded -The IMR is a weapon that constantly 3D prints it's own ammunition. First, where is it getting the material to 3D print bullets from? There's a difference between "3D printing" and "Magically teleporting in from nowhere." Second, a 3D printer would only be able to, assuming sci-fi technofuck materials that make them viable as bullet components, should only be able to make casings and the projectiles themselves. Where does the gunpowder come from? Three, YOU HAVE GUNS THAT CAN MAKE THEIR OWN AMMUNITION ON THE FLY. WHY THE FUCK DOES ONLY A SINGLE WEAPON PLATFORM IN THIS UNIVERSE HAVE THIS? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW INCREDIBLE A LIGHT MACHINE GUN WITH UNLIMITED AMMO WOULD BE? LITERALLY INFINITE SUPPRESSING FIRE. YET THE ONLY WEAPON THAT HAS IT IS SOME BUMFUCK RIFLE PLATFORM -One of the sniper rifles functions by firing a 2 round burst. The first round functions as an explosive primer, while the second shot detonates it. Why the fuck did someone think this was a good idea? I can see explosive rounds being used against things like the big mechs you sometimes ride in, but in that case, why go with the weird 2-step detonator instead of going with conventional explosive rounds like the ones we have today? -This game's equivalent of the throwing knife is a ball with spikes on it. You have arm mounted launchers capable of launching a variety of different projectiles, and rather than making the throwing knife stand-in some kind of ballistic knife (which the CoD series has already had) or some launched harpoon-like projectile, it's a ball with spikes on it. Literally a fucking Kirby enemy.
@michaellind12814 жыл бұрын
1.The recoil is from the moving parts inside the gun/laser(whatever), kinda like a blender, centrifuge, or an even better example the components inside a controller that allow it to vibrate. 2.The IMR is most likely a railgun of sorts. Printing caseless ammo as needed. 3. But yeah, that 2-stage explosive is kinda wierd.

Is the M14 platform not popular with soldiers? I thought it had become more of a DMR with the M21 and was pretty well regarded. I'm asking an honest question, I haven't heard very many opinions on it.
@guntherhermann42254 жыл бұрын
@@lucasjohnson4896 M21 did redeem the platform a bit, but the M14 (which advanced warfare seems to have named it after) was disliked. Heavy as fuck, and nearly uncontrollable in full-auto. There's a reason Vietnam War media tends to give more screen time to the M16. It's bad reputation would follow it into the CoD games where it was consistently one of the least popular guns in any game it's variants appeared in (save for maybe Black Ops 1, but even when it was "good" it was still overlooked since CoD players don't seem to like semiauto weapons much.) It was ESPECIALLY hated in Advanced Warfare, where this futuristic marksman rifle was outclassed in damage *by a fucking pistol.* The Atlas .45 (already a mediocre gun on it's own) could 2-tap at close range, where as the Mk14 required 3. At long range, the Mk14 needed 4 hits to kill (pathetic for a semiauto in ANY CoD). The Atlas .45 at the same range? ALSO a 4-hit kill. Laaaaame.

I just realized that Hades line “He Knows” is actually incorrect since Irons doesn’t actually know anything that Hades is doing since Hades isn’t even doing anything except running from Atlas. Technically he *knew* about the attacks Also it’s very convenient that Hades would even assume that Irons was planning anything else since Hades doesn’t have any contacts in Atlas (besides whoever got him the recording). As far as Hades knows, the extent of Irons’ evil plans was letting the KVA attack the reactors and benefit from it. Sentinel was the group that learned about Manticore.

Also on 12:21, as Kevin Spacey said about his company and Dartigan said here, PMCs, like their employees, are dogs of war, up for sale at the highest bidder. They have no loyalties to any gov't and that includes the US. Even though Atlas operates mainly in the US, they are not obligated to follow any set of rules or guidelines set by Congress since they are also not bound by any other gov'ts rules. The only other rule they follow besides legal corporate rules are the rules of war. In short, I don't see the reason Kevin Spacey is a having a meeting with US generals unless it's a business meeting which is not the case here. For this scene, Sledgehammer should have had Spacey talk with a UN committee about it.

12:16 You can also consider his words this way: "Event A is an Event B, even an Event B without Event C." However, he would have had the word "without" accented if this is what he meant.

Kevin Spacey has an entire room filled young fit men, and only men wrapped in plastic. Why? You know why. Lmao f man that had me cracking up. I wish he wasn't so damn creepy. Serious props to Robin Wright for keeping House Of Cards going. I have to admit even though Kevin f up. He was a damn good writer. The last season would of been the best if Kevin wasn't a Mr. Herbert. But again huge props to Robin. I respect her for pushing on and not giving up.

14:30 that's actually a much more intresting story concept. Some psycho, completly out of fucks to give and then a random dude cuts him off and he completely snaps. With a decent build up that could work.

There's no reason that antarctica won't exist and be the exact same in 2060. It hasn't changed at all since we first recorded it. A reminder that "antarctica will have melted by 2005" deadline was passed a long time ago.

Hmm. We need to have a strong, female character to appease the feminists so we don’t get bashed on Twitter but how do we do that? “Have her act like a man.” It’s interesting to me that this works. It’s even more interesting that idiots think the way to make a *woman* ‘a stronger character’ is to have her be as *manly* as possible. ...what an oxymoron.

I find it odd that they had Irons' son have his arm get caught only for Mitchell to lose his anyways. They could have had Mitchell be the one that got trapped, only for Irons to get him free too late to save himself. I had that same feeling of the Kojima comparison. That simulation is a good look into Irons' egotism. He believes that it is a potentiality so he built that whole sim base. There's probably other sims as well. But, it may have also been a way to get into Mitchell's head/on his good side. Well, Hades is working with ATLAS, so Irons probably greased some palms to get him to where he needed to be. Or so I thought. The game needs a sin for copy pasting Gideon Emery into the game and naming it after him. Atlas is probably it's own nation at that point. Honestly, Ilona was probably in contact with Sentinel and that's how Irons found out. Though his surrogate son disappearing with at least one person who dealt with Hades was probably a big enough red flag for him. But Ilona was also the first one to question ATLAS; she's the one more to trust versus Mitchell. Irons is a megalomaniac with a biological weapon. He sees no reason to change his plans. The guy in power armor. No doubt weighing a ton. He might survive but he ain't gettin' up. Honestly. a mission where we protect a hospital while our antibodies are being turned into a vaccine would have been a good one to have. Probably so Mitchell can avoid breaking it, but there's still the fact that the thing is mounted onto his arm. It'd essentially be like whacking a baseball bat against a heavy object. It was just about the exact same way, and it's still fun as fuck the second time around. Titanfall 2 did it in a bit better fashion with the Legion loadout. I enjoyed AW for what it was. I'm still hopeful for AW2.

Thinking about it probably is an affect on the villain video. CIA has the capability of telling where someone is or at least a general location based of items in the room behind you as your sending a video feed. Maybe some developers are thinking outside their usual thoughts or CoD just got lucky.
