Harrows NX90 Darts Review

After watching 100’s of your reviews and using the same darts i first got given 5 years ago without changing, I’ve decided to go with the NX90’s for my first new dart. Im not sure what my old darts are but they are standard straight barrel, ring grip, 23 grams with a 26mm point. Im getting decent now and just started playing for Lancashire super 6 team west craven. The reason i chose these is because i like something to push off on, on my throw. So with it being slightly grippier with a slight taper that suits my style more than a straight barrel. The setup I’m using are medium condor axe with 30mm target storm points to remove the lip and protect the flights. Went for 21g rather than using the 23g I’m used to because the condors fly quicker, so the dart goes straighter in the air to the board with less loop. With the 21g being slightly thinner they are still similar enough to my old thinner straight barrels to feel normal in the grip. As you can probably tell I’ve thought long and hard about my dart of choice before making the leap haha. Im must say these are fantastic and you help me make the correct decision for sure! The NX90’s will be making an appearance at Q school 2024. Thanks Darren great reviews!

Thats great to hear, hope they work well for you, I think its a dart that can suit many people even if they think it wont, not sure what it is about them but they just seem easy to throw and a lot of people like them so they must have something going for them :) Let me know how you get on with them :)

I like the less grippy version of these: the Shard 90s. I use straight barrels for my match darts, but this shape of dart is my second preferred one to throw with. Thanks for the review, Darren mate, always appreciated.

A lot of fuss about some of the other darts in harrows release but for me these were the best ……no coatings ,great grip and a good length and decent value!!! And the real shock was Darren wearing a green shirt!!!6

I have 24g ones because I like a heavier dart for my throw, would you suggest the standard stems or short for this weight? Or is that dependent on my throw again

Amazing reviews Darren, you are amazing 💫 I have just started playing dart and I’m in an amateur league in Turkey. I’ll get my first dart but cannot know what to get. Naturally, I hold the dart like a pencil. Holding the dart from the middle and my middle finger is under the barrel. I figured either NX90 or Predator would work the best for my grip and even if I wanted to change my grip, they are good for most grips. What would be your suggestion for newbie’s like me ?😅 Thank you for detailed videos and inspiring me ❤

They are the best darts ive ever thrown...very forgiving and easy to throw grip is excellent 7-8/10, works with short shafts, and medium ones, get the plastic point flight protectors on them.. then off you go

Thanks! Yeah they just felt rather easy to throw, I think if you have barrel scraping the flights it could, really depends how your darts sit up and how the incoming ones make contact :)

LOL everyone keeps going on about my nails! They are not that long! They grow quick but when I cut them short my finger tips are very sensitive, probably due to the various injuries I have had and some nerve damage, so they can be a bit painful for a few days until the nails grow back a bit longer, hence why I dont like cutting them too short :) Cheers and all the best! :)

Lately? I have been doing that for years, long before any others :) Its important to some but wont matter to many. Some people like to know in case they want to add tungsten putty or tungsten inserts to increase the weight or if they want to have a better idea of where the mass of the dart it. Like I say though many wont care and for most darts its pretty much usually around 8 to 10 mm anyway :) Cheers! :)

The way you show these, I am thinking that you can maybe always grip these darts at the same place without having to extra feel them, if you know what I mean ;) And I am a rear gripper so that would make it maybe even more easy (as they have enough grip). Do you concur ? Because I'm thinking of buying them. And as you say they have a steady flow... Cheers man! Also, what would be your set up, this day, Darren?

You should be able to do that ok, I just hit a 180 with them earlier, was the first one with those which is surprising as had so many T20s with first two darts but was using the setup that came with them most of the time until the other day when I put my condor zero stress all in one flights on
