Friend, if you missed all Daryl did with Sherbet back to the early 70's YOU are in for a Wonderful Blessing: Start with Slipstream. I enjoyed my weekend with Anthology - listen to "Freedom" - the words are so VERY now. Then listen to Higher than Hope and Rise. Sounds to me like you just gained a whole WORLD of the best Australian band that has ever performed. EVER. Saw him perform on danish TV2 in 1988 and I instantly feel in love with song - such powerful existential lyrics how you hopefully live and learn to apreciate life or else make a change - and I bought he album the next day. WOW still love all the songs but this is one of my favorites. From the comments I can see that John Farnham sings backing vocals another fabulous musician. I did not know that but thank you for letting me know. He was not on stage though when Daryl performed on TV in Denmark I would have noticed. It was playback but still awesome!

I know so many of his songs from when I was growing up, but I never knew that they were all Daryl, youtube is lovely for chasing the past and getting really nostalgic haha I miss the uplifting spirit you can only seem to find in older music, modern music doesn't move your soul like the past
