I am in the US and have never been outside the US. I, also, have a great fear of crossing great bodies of water. However, if I had known about John years ago, I would have made it a point to come to Australia to see at least one concert. And brought my Dad and Brother, who love voices and music as much as I do.

Lost mum in Nov 2022, to cancer. She loved John Farnham, and being his age she grew up with his music. Just after mum passed, dad heard this on the radio and just broke down. We played it at mum's funeral, not a dry eye in the house. Even now I'm weeping. John mum loved your music and shared that love with me (50), you crossed generations with your music. Thank you.

One of the very few artist who sound just as good if not better than his recordings when singing live. He puts so much more emotion into live performances. It would be hard to find an artist at 74 years old whose voice sounds as good and as powerful as when he was young. John Farnham - Aussie Legend.
@michaelswan29916 ай бұрын
It could only be possible for his live performances to seem to have more emotion. 🙂 What struck me like a train in this video, apart from the sheer beauty of this song, is John's captivating musical and visible internal intensity throughout. A masterpiece performed by a master. Just as strikingly moving and intense is the music video The Living Years sung by Paul Carrack with the band Mike & the Mechanics plus a boys' choir & adults' choir. This song was released only two years after John Farnham's A Touch of Paradise. The link for The Living Years music video is below: m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5nVZ2eDrb6jnc0

I was living in the UK when in September 1986, "Your the Voice" was released. It reached number 6 in the UK charts and i loved that song. John didn't have any other hits in the UK and It wasn't until a few years later that i migrated permanently to Australia and i soon realised how much of a local talent John Farham was. And this track "Touch of Paradise is my all-time favourite tracks of John's. It raises such emotions within me and brings me to tears. THANK YOU, JOHN, FOR A LIFETIME OF JOY LISTENING TO YOUR AMAZING VOICE & YOUR NATURAL TALENT!! 💕💕

Oh my goodness!!! Is this you John, replying to me? What an honour if it is you!! Wel, as i said in my narrative, i've been a fan of yours since September 1986. Then, two years later i migrated to Australia and realised how much of a huge star you were here in Australia. Of course, i then followed your comeback journey and the amazing story of your manager Glenn Wheatley refinancing his property to finance your Whispering Jack album, which i bought of course and loved every track!! 💗💗💗💗
