Das Ruggeller Riet

In unzähligen Besuchen zwischen Februar 2019 bis März 2020 habe ich Filmaufnahmen im Ruggeller Riet gemacht und zu einem Film zusammengestellt. Neben spannenden Naturbeobachtungen kam es gelegentlich auch zu interessanten Gesprächen mit Spaziergängern und naturverbundenen Leuten.
Nicht immer zahlte sich das frühe Aufstehen aus mit guten Aufnahmen. Aber immer ging ich zufrieden nach Hause im Wissen, meine Zeit in einzigartiger Natur verbracht zu haben.
Der Frühling ist sicher die spannendste Zeit wo man am meisten beobachten kann. Die Störche und zahlreiche andere Vögel sind aus dem Süden zurückgekehrt und finden im Riet noch blumenreiche Wiesen und extensiv genutzte Flächen an. Im März kann man mit etwas Glück und der nötigen Rücksicht auch Kiebitze beobachten. Heute brütet er leider nicht mehr im Riet und ist nur noch ein Durchzügler.
Ende Mai, wenn die Sibirischen Lilien blühen, wird das Ruggeller Riet von vielen Naturliebhabern besucht. Die Kulisse mit den verschneiten Bergen und den blühenden Lilien ist ein wunderbarer Anblick. Etwa zwei Wochen nach den Lilien blühen dann die Sumpfgladiolen und zahlreiche Orchideenarten. In dieser Zeit kann man auch das Braunkehlchen beobachten, das in der Schweiz ebenfalls nur noch an wenigen Orten anzutreffen ist. Ich konnte auch den seltenen Neuntöter und den Raubwürger beobachten.
Bei den Insekten ist das Moorwiesenvögelchen schon fast eine Sensation. Sie kommt nur noch an ganz wenigen Plätzen in Europa vor. Leider konnte ich keine Filmaufnahmen davon machen. Die Population der Feldhasen ging aufgrund der Hasenpest in den letzten Jahren leider ebenfalls zurück.
Das Riet litt in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an Austrocknung. Die intensive Landwirtschaft hat leider ebenfalls negative Folgen auf die Artenvielfalt. Das Austragen der Gülle in der Umgebung des Riets verfrachtet den Dünger in kleinsten Tröpfchen auch im Riet und ist Gift für viele Pflanzen, die nur auf mageren Böden gedeihen.
Ich hoffe, Liechtenstein ist sich bewusst, was für ein Juwel sie in ihrem Land haben und dass entsprechende Mittel zur Verfügung stellt, um der fortschreitenden Austrocknung entgegen zu wirken.

Hi Ronald, you have probably been the first one who tried watching my video. Due to te big file and the circumstances that KZbin has decreased the upload capacity I thought, my video was uploaded in bad quality. So I deleted my first upload. But the problem was, that KZbin uploaded first in a poor quality of only 360 pixels. After an hour or two the good quality was done - sorry for that. Kind regards from Switzerland - Heini
