man, this is probably the best builtin storage i've ever seen in a van or caravan, or whatever mobile unit. the fact it is embedded in the walls doesnt consume the interior space. genius. truly superior.

of course it consumes interior space -the cabinets have the depth of the wheel well - about 10cm. the walls themselves consist of 2.5cm insulation. I don't want to take anything away from that.

You did a great job. I don't know if I could pull it with using all that wood but I have been wondering and thinking really hard to make bike campers for the homeless. This a very great concept but I would have to build it out of different materials. The bottom would be wood for structure but I have a great idea for walls. Love it.. Hope you have where you showed how you built it in one of your videos. Also I wish it was also in English so I could understand every important thing you were saying about it. Very great job. Ich finde es klasse 👍🏿🤩 Sieht gemütlich aus und der Aufbau lässt sich bestimmt noch optimieren. Für mich kam es nicht lächerlich rüber und hast deinen Wohnwagen gut vorgestellt. Wenn ich mit meinen unterwegs bin ist es innen oft auch wüst aber schnell aufgeräumt….bis auch alles ready ist dauert auch seine Zeit. Danke für die Blumen - was das 'Innen' an geht ist die Verwendung von Sperrholz bei den aktuellen Preisen schon sehr 'aufwendig' ;-) Das Ding hat sicher seine Schwachstellen, es ist aber auch nicht als Prototyp für eine kommende Produktionslinie gedacht. Wie viele Fahrrad-Wohnwagen ist es sehr individuell und spiegelt die Persönlichkeit des Erbauers wider. In diesem Fall ist der Anhänger das Arbeits- und Reisemedium für einen Fotografen

I don't know what it weighs but I don't believe I could pull it with a bike. But you did an excellent job and I would love to see a video of you building it if you haven't already made one. Keep up the great work. To bad you have no way of putting a make shift toilet and a way to shower or cook and wash what little dishes one would have. I believe you could figure out something with the way the floor lifts up. You could put a drain in the bottom and take a shower that way or even use one of those shower bags they have for campers that gets hot during the day so you would have a hot shower in the evening. @@kimsikorski5691 I did some filming while building the trolley but it was more like 'setting up the camera and doing by work in front of it'. So I struggle a bit to complete the documentation fast and easy because there was no real didactic concept while filming - I had enough to do with thinking about to solve the different technical problems. So, there's so far a film about building the frame and one about the drive system and breaks. The walls are built as a sandwich of 3mm plywood, 2,5 cm styrofoam panels and a 0,2mm aluminium skin. This was done to extend the usability of this trolley into winter time. In empty state the trolley has a weight of about 70 kilos. When fully loaded with equipment - I use it a as workspace and energy support during photo journeys - we are at 120 Kilo (Batteries, Studio equipment an stuff for living). You may pul this with a conventional bicycle in a flat area but when it comes to going upwards, the trolley behaves strictly passive and forces you down to low speeds. I pull this thing with a pedelec with a transmission modified for heavy loads and low speeds. I didn't implement the bathroom feature due to lack of space, other tsks that this has to fulfill and the problems of dealing with water systems inside a small camper and carrying the odour of my body products with me in a rather small compartment. Thinking of setting up a trolley for homeless people I would set up a simpler and easier approach such as the airstream bicycle camper by Paul Elkins. Das löcherige Bettlaken und das Maurer-Dekolleté bei 19:15 min. Ich feiere dich allein dafür! 🥳🤪 Ansonsten schönes Ding! Natürlich alles noch entwicklungsfähig. Das Tischbein würde ich steckbar, bzw. mit Bajonettverschluss gestalten. Hat ja Nix zu halten. Schrauben kostet immer wertvolle Lebenssekunden, hat natürlich auch etwas meditatives und man kann ja dabei etwas schönes denken, weil für das Schrauben keine Hirnleistung erforderlich ist. Sexstellungen sind allerdings ein wenig begrenzt, was dem Platzangebot geschuldet ist. Wie sieht es mit der Stabilität dabei aus? Schon getestet? 🤪 Alles in allem: Gefällt mir sehr gut! Respekt von meiner Seite und danke fürs Teilen! 👌🏻

Klasse Ausführung da bekommt Mann richtig Laune selber sowas zu bauen. Allerdings würde es bei mir für meinen Roller sein , da darf Mann aber nicht soviel anhängen. Nicht ganz so umwelltfreundllich ,aber im Moment ist ein ebike einfach finanziel nicht zu stemmen. Es liegt aber genügend Zeug rum um verwendet zu werden.

More blue thumbs than subscribers, that's rare. The trailer design is awesome. On the other hand, the translation of the subtitles is not very clear: do the solar panels recharge (a bit, moderately or a lot) the battery of the bike? Finally, the only point that worries me is the risk of the bike being stolen, especially at night. An alarm system would be interesting, or then a folding version that we could fit into the trailer, even if it means enlarging it a little bit? On the other hand, I wonder about the width on cycle paths, especially in town. But this concept is incredibly brilliant.

the panel indeed recharge the batteries. When folded close the Panels exposed to the sun deliver 400 to 700 Watt depending on angle and lighting conditions. When not riding up high mountains I need 150 Watt motor power for comfortable riding. It is fun riding the bike dragging the trolley through the landscape and watching the battery indicator showing increasing charge level 🙂 I lock the bicycle to the trailer so I will wake up when someone tries to steal it. Besides: I have a gps triggered alarm with geofencing. The width of the trolley is a bit delicate. The rule in Germany is that bicycle tracks provide minimum 120 cm width (the trolley is 115cm) but the rule is not strictly followed. So I often perform as a traffic distortion on an ordinary road.

Great DIY build. The setup of the bed looks like a LOT of work though.....I wonder if that can be made a lot simpler/faster. I like the smaller and lighter Wide Path Camper a bit more I think, but it's also very expensive @4000 euros unfortunately and the strongpoint is that it is fairly light (45kg I believe).

Bravo! Es fragt sich nur, wie schwer das Ganze ist. Ein fahrendes, sehr grosses Chalet. Fehlt nur noch der Kuckuck und die Geranien vor dem Fenster. Aber im Ernst, darin lässt es sich schon ein paar Wochen leben. Am besten wäre es mit einem Benzinmotor, aber das ist ja leider nicht erlaubt!

Erst mal ein 👍 für den Ausbau . Was mich interessieren würde was der leer wiegt. Da wo ich bedenken hätte , wäre die große Wand die ich hinter mir herziehe und direkt den Wind ausgesetzt ist . Da hilft ab einer gewissen 💨 Windgeschwindigkeit auch kein E - Antrieb mehr . Dafür ist er halt im aufgebauten Zustand gegen Wind und Starkregen eine sichere Bank, im Vergleich zu Klappdächer mit Stoffbalk . Wie immer , wird auch hier das Sprichwort gelten : Den ersten Ausbau machst du für den Feind. Den zweiten Ausbau für den Freund Und den dritten Ausbau für dich selber !

Sehr schöner Fahrradschlafkasten. Das Bett aufbauen sieht doch recht umständlich aus. Der Teil mit dem Klettern und der mit dem Spannlaken würde mich auf einer längeren Tour wohl recht schnell nerven😅 Aber sonst schaut das Urgemütlich aus. Kannst du drinnen kochen? Falls es regnet? Eventuell kannst du ja eine Art Regenschutz über der Tür installieren, der das draussen Kochen bei Regen etwas schützt und der es ermöglicht auch bei Regen das Bett von ausserhalb auf oder ab zu bauen. Was wiegt das Schätzchen?

Der Umbau zum Bett geht auf jeden Fall leichter wenn ich es mache während ich außen in der geöffneten Tür stehe. Kochen drinnen geht - es gibt einen Lüfter für Abluft. Das Ding wiegt zusammen mit zwei Fahrradaccus zu je 8 Kilo, aber sonst leer knapp 80 Kilo - wenn ich die Studio-Ausrüstung und kram für eine längere Reise drin habe komme ich auf 130 Kilo

Voll beladen für eine Reise (mit Trinkwasser, unf Essen und natürlich Studioausrüstung) liegt das Ding bei 170 Kilo. Der Elektro-Krimskrams ist so'n Anspruch den ich an die Nutzung des Teils stelle. Für reines Camping ist das natürlich sehr overdressed.

So wie es aussieht wiegt das Ding minimum über 100 kg! Okay...die Fahrt zum nächsten Baggersee in 5 km Entfernung wäre angenehm...aber alles andere!? Kommen dann noch Lebenmittel etc. dazu...dann werden die 150 kg geknackt! Also, wenn man auf das Gewicht keinen Wert legt, dann kann man natürlich sein Schloß bauen...warum nicht! Aber irgendwie stell ich mir Mobilität anders vor! Aber coole Arbeit und durchdacht...viel Arbeit steckt da drin! Respekt!

Das Ding ist weniger für Campingtouren als für meine Arbeit als Fotograf gemacht - ich setze es in einem Umkreis von 40 Kilometern um Dortmund herum für Fotoaktionen ein. Im Sommer hatte es seine 'Jungfernfahrt': Einmal Emsland, Transrapistrecke und zurück - 500 Kilometer mit Teutoburger Wald. Die aktuelle Kilometerleistung liegt aktuell bei 1100 Kilometern

160 kg! Wow! Da kann man sicher noch etwas optimieren. Sämtliche Holzteile z.B. würde ich mit Löchern versehen, das spart verdammt viel Gewicht und ist immer noch genauso stabil
