I’m a learner driver, and thanks to this channel, I’m learning so much, omg. You wouldn’t think dash cam footage would teach you anything, but damn! They should show these to ALL learner drivers. Not saying we are the problem, because the majority are open licence drivers, but it shows what kind of idiots are on the road and to be extra aware.

Me.K - Eloquent? You were hoping for "eloquent" on a video of Australian drivers being dumb cunts to other Australian drivers? 😂 I reckon a good 75% of viewers of this channel want to see just how many new profanities they can learn this month. I do anyway, and I'm Australian myself, so it's not like I've been sheltered from the reckless use of words like "cuntface" and "fuckstick", but I still return for my monthly profanity refresher course.

Why do SO MANY drivers in this video drive without their lights on during and after dusk? That's why I think the lights should always be on every time you drive... The roads would be much safer!
@anhedonianepiphany55886 жыл бұрын
Of course, certain cars have long had auto running/parking lights whilst driving, and many newer vehicles do that with driving lights/low-beam headlights. But, I still get well-meaning idiots flashing at me for having headlights on during the day. The majority of drivers are simple-minded and only view lights as a way to see in the dark. The fact that any lighting vastly improves your vehicles visibility to _others_ - that logic completely escapes them! I keep my lights on to give myself a better chance of surviving in that bitumen sea of incompetent, distracted, irresponsible, reckless fools who've been inappropriately issued a drivers license.

@realulli6 жыл бұрын
Jarno Saarinen I think it's a reflex. I always say, braking is allowed, swerving, never. It happens too often that someone swerves, manages to avoid the idiot but hits something or someone else and gets to pay for the damages while the idiot who caused the crash drives off as if nothing had happened. The oblivious idiot possibly didn't even notice what he caused...
@stephenj95636 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was like he had a second go and got him. Target fixation, look for the escape and aim at that.
@NeoGee6 жыл бұрын
It could have been target fixation, but I also think the fact he was on a curve so his wheels were turned may have played a role in it.
@preds28806 жыл бұрын
I reckon he he swerved to the right expecting the van to hit the brakes, would have worked out if the van did stop but it kept going.
@Zonda19966 жыл бұрын
He had less than a quarter of a second to select an option and commit to it. He made a read that the van would shit itself and stop in his way (extremely common follow up mistake to the traditional Aussie fuck up of pulling out with traffic incoming) and by the time it was obvious what the van was doing, he had already committed. You can’t always be expected to foresee the correct outcome in situations like this. The fault ultimately lies with the driver that pulled out, disrupted traffic they were meant to give way to and caused an accident.

Bike at 6:14 is an idiot... that's a 40 area. The car cut him off but they probably weren't expecting him to be flying along.

@Dash Cam Owners Australia, OK Genuinely the intersection @1:25, I believe is somewhere near Diamond Creek Victoria, and I have a question, in terms of turning right there is no right arrow, so I would presume you would have to proceed with caution (at a smart time, such as straight being green), now I cannot tell if the reason the guy here is going slow is because he sees the car to his right or if he was giving way to those turning left from the other side, my question is does the guy here give way or the people on the other side? I was beeped at when I was a learner for going around when I thought was safe but then got nearly hit (or nearly hit) a car that came screaming out of a parking bay I didn't see (blocked by other cars), I wasn't stopped by my mum (the "instructor" on that trip) as she wasn't sure either (she just got back into driving about 6 months prior, was still good at driving but had never seen anyone in that situation). Please help still curious to this day, being 2 years or so now. Edit: there are two lanes in that direction and I was going to the right lane if that changes things, sorry for the long comment nearly a year after this came out

How to react to bad driving in Australia: *Experience bad driving* *wait for 5 seconds after* "Fuck"
@danewilliam29076 жыл бұрын
No one pays attention to the road any more. You should lose your license on the spot for using mobile phones (not that would have prevented anything on this video)
@danielwilson51026 жыл бұрын
The problem is, given the vast distances and poor public transport in Australia I doubt not having a license would stop people from driving.
@danewilliam29076 жыл бұрын
Daniel Wilson suspending licences doesn't work, only because the punishment for being caught during whilst suspend is a fine and further suspension. You need a punishment that fits the crime, but if a few people do it, will make others think twice before doing the wrong thing.

I was almost in a head on crash cause some bitch decided texting was worth more her time than focusing on the dam road.

Should have the same penalties as DUI imo....
@Rockhopper11636 жыл бұрын
yeah....Using a mobile phone whilst driving or in control of a motor vehicle is as bad as if not worse than drink driving, even tho you might be pi$$ed you're normally still looking at the road/s.
