I originally got to know Karen Gillian as Amelia Pond in a few seasons of Doctor Who. She had also made an earlier appearance on the show, but her face was painted, so she was not recognizable as herself.

"This is Alan Parrishs' House, I'm Just Living in it" - Best line in the Movie for me, when it came to how they were going to 'honor' the original... I kind of saw it as a direct Honoring of the late Robin Williams himself, not just the character. It's like saying "This is Robin Williams World, I'm just living in it", in reference to all the amazing characters & comedy he created for the people over all the decades of his career.

Wow, Dasha. This movie was such a surprise. It begins where the first movie ended. It adapted to be user-friendly. We get to see the gameboard a couple of times, and we see the influence if the first movie. We send our players back to their own starting point. Most importantly, we had all the characters get so much growth. So stoked you got to see this.

I've thought about the cake weakness thing. I don't think it's really a weakness, if you accidentally eat cake, then BOOM! And that could be bad. however, If you had all 3 lives, and really had to get past an impossible roadblock or enemy position, just grab a piece of cake then walk up to the thing casually talking about whatever and as you get there eat the cake and explode taking the roadblock or enemy out. then you respawn and continue the adventure with 2 lives. I think it could be very useful.

I feel like this is one of those films that is good alone but great when watching with others. So many laughs and so easy to watch. Dasha just helps elevate this movie to the next level. No pun intended for the sequel.

Great reaction! It was cool to see what it was like to actually be inside Jumanji. I don't love this version as much as the original, but I still love it. I loved the reference to Alan Parrish, and though Van Pelt looked completely different in this movie compared to the first, it made perfect sense since the game itself had changed from a board game to a video game. Great movie! And Jack Black was amazing as a teenage girl. 😀

Yep, he was playing Playstation 1. The boardgame turned into a cartridge game that you would put in consoles like NES, SNES and N64. On Playstations the games are on CD's. The console the Jumanji cartridge game is put on kinda looks like an Atari 2600 game console.

Hey there sweetie ... the Purell is a hand sanitizer, but he WAS "hoping" it would come off more like a cologne (perfume for guys). Again though, I ask 2 things ... 1) what is that you say in Russian at the beginning of your reaction videos and 2) how do you stay so damned adorable, and funny ??? An NPC is a nonplayer character in a game that moves along the plot of the game. Cut scenes a places where the plot is dictated because there's no practical way to control the players to enter at a certain plot point and exit at a certain plot point together in order to advance the plot in a closed plot game.

I'll admit I was skeptical of this movie when it came out. Original Jumanji is a classic, and it isn't very difficult to ruin a classic. However, I'll also admit that I was wrong on this one, as this turned out to be a really great and funny movie. It's sequel, in my opinion, wasn't the greatest, as some of that spark that made this one great, fizzled out in it.
