I remember taking defensive driving classes when I was a teenager. My instructor said 2 things that I'll never forget when there's another driver with rage. First, always drive to the nearest police station or law enforcement facility if the other driver is following you and do not return home until you're in the clear. Second, never get out of the car to confront the other driver. That driver can pull out a gun and you're dead on the street and chances are that shooter can get away with murder if they have a good lawyer who can influence the jury to believe the driver acted in self-defense. Never engage with road rage drivers.

Same here. I Volunteered at a Hospital at the time. An OPP Officer came to give Us some safety tips. He said "The safest place to go is the ER and LAY on the Horn. The other driver will get out of there or act all Innocent. If not, head to a Fire Station, same rules and or the Police Department. They will usually back off and take off. NEVER head home." I was also told to look straight ahead, not to maintain eye contact nor react in anyway.

Drivers still need to give at least 3 feet when passing a cyclist, according to most state laws. Drivers usually never give that much space if the cyclist is hugging the shoulder, either because they don't care or they don't see the cyclist. Since the lane is quite narrow, it's actually safer for the cyclist to ride closer to the middle. This forces drivers to pass through the other lane, giving the required 3 feet of clearance. Also for those saying it's a bike lane, it's not. It's just the gutter/shoulder. And if you really want bikes off the road, advocate for actual separate bike lanes, we'll appreciate it.

My buddy lives in a really expensive HOA, so the majority of the vehicles are brand new or high end expensive. As I was leaving the development, I didn’t realize the main road had a bunch of loose gravel from the county putting a layer of oil and gravel down before sealing it. As I turned left to merge onto the main road, a vehicle came around a corner and quickly accelerated towards me. I was already committed to the turn; and fearing I would cause an accident if I slammed on my brakes, I floored it. My truck is a 2019 Ram Rebel and it has insane response time. I got to a four way stop about a half mile down the road and notice a older guy in a really nice truck behind me waving his arms and yelling out his window. I rolled down my window and realize he was yelling at me. By this time I was driving through the intersection though, so I figured I would pull over as soon as I had room to see what he was yelling for. He ended up turning, and I figured if I were to try to follow him, it would escalate whatever the issue was. I just went home. About a month later, I was headed back over to my buddy’s house. As I was driving the streets in the development, I noticed a really nice truck that looked like the one that was behind me at that 4 way stop. Then I see the guy in his garage. He saw me and just stared. I stopped and asked if he was the guy who was yelling. He said he was and started walking really fast towards me. I asked what was he yelling? He said when I took off, I kicked up a bunch of gravel right into the front of his truck new truck. I immediately apologized and told him if I damaged his vehicle in anyway, I would pay for the repairs. That stopped him and he said it was all good. I told him about the car that came around the corner I hadn’t seen before turning myself. He said he wondered why I did that because he had seen my truck a few times and appreciated how slow I alway drove through their streets. I told him I was going to pull over and talk, but he turned and I figured if I tried to follow, it could escalate things. He said it was probably for the best, seeing as how he was disabled and he would have hurt himself trying to fight. I told him I was disabled too, so we would have been two cripples wrestling on the ground. We both laughed and compared injuries. In the end, he and I shook hands and went our ways. Anytime I saw him after that, he always waved.

He's not trying to instigate anyone. Primary example is when he honks at the guy, that guy slams on his brakes and then get's out with a bat. He was the one causing an issue. The other driver didn't follow him for taking a wide turn, he followed him because the guy spit up gravel and it hit his car. I don't recommend following anyone but when someone intentionally does something to damage your car they are liable for damages. Insurance claims can still be filed for this stuff.

Also if it’s like here in Australia (I don’t know if it is) but because the guy with the dashcam had an unbroken white line plus a stop sign whilst the other guy had broken white lines and a stop sign . The guy with the broken white lines can go first.

ive been in one road rage situation 1. lady on her phone... i put my blinker on and changed into her lane, she saw me and decided to speed up to not let me, obviously i got in bc there was MORE than enough room. long story short, she pulled up next to me screaming and rear ended the car in front of her... i stopped for 3 seconds just staring at her laughing and saw her rage and cry at the same time. she was punching her steering wheel and i was literally just screaming obnoxiously with laughter

The car horn is a weird thing here in the US. Unless you’re in a bigger city, people get pissed at you for honking at them, even if they’re 100% in the wrong.

I don't care though: if you honk at me for not wanting to take a free right turn when I have a blind spot, that just means I know for sure that I'm not turning right until the light turns green. Sometimes it is legitimate to get annoyed at people honking at you.

Amen...This idiot was doing 65mph in a 65mph on the left lane. I mean, technically he's within his right, but make it easy on other drivers, and if you can see someone is trying to go faster than you then move yo ass over and let them through!! What do you care that I'm in a bigger hurry than you??!! Just let me use those extra 5mph and get by you and we're both happy. I agree with you. There are a lot of idiots out there....and most of the dash-cams on this video (I watched 31 of them) were at fault. It's really sad.

Not to mention the truck was sitting there with his blinker on, trying to change lanes for a long time. He then waited until there was enough room, started to change lanes and the asshole biker sped up to try and block him out! Why? Cause he's a dick. That's why. Guy in the truck did absolutely nothing wrong.... at first. I mean, bolting down the road in reverse.... that was a little wacky.

When I have the time of the day I like to tail gate them at a safe distance knowing my car’s performance. Sure they act a fool for a few minutes but usually they don’t last the long haul which I’m more than willing to give time to. They don’t like it and eventually move

In Colorado the law is you are obstructing traffic if you are occupying the left lane and not passing. That being said the man from the truck the video did NOT handle things well at all. I usually just pass someone doing that when possible and then point to the right several times.
