I had an indicent with a rager that thought the cig in my fist held up to the crack in my dark tinted windows (to suck the smoke out) was a finger and come across three lanes to hit me. We had zero interaction prior so Im not even sure why he was looking that hard at me. He was REALLY puffy until I got out. Im 6'2 and about 200lbs - not a gym rat but fit 200lbs not flabby. His chest sunk in and he whipped his phone out to call state police REAL quick. When I calmly walked up to ask what was going on and if he was ok, he said that he did it because I flipped him off for no reason. Like even if I did that doesnt make careening across the highway to slam into someone ok. He wound up getting cited for unsafe lane change on the accident report. Never heard from his insurance, and he just left a light scuff on my truck's bumper so I let it go.

#2 WTF man you are the reason nobody ever lets anyone in at on ramps Ohh and FYI fellow forth worth resident here Texas State law is that the on ramp traffic is required to yield to the highway traffic so if they don't want to let you in they don't have to you driving on the shoulder to go around traffic just to get like 4 cars ahead because you got ego issues isn't there fault Now I agree the semi should not have attempted to block you he isn't a cop and should have just let a cop catch you and ticket you for reckless driving Also for anyone else he probably should not have done it but it is also fully legal to use the shoulder to go around a car that is stopped with there signal on.

There was a time when people were considerate to one another on the road and the "zipper" merge worked perfectly. The first at the merge went, then the other lane, etc... each lane yielded to the next and the merge worked properly. Today... with a total lack of consideration, people crowd the merging lane and make every effort not to let them over, so what we end up with is an effing mess, and when someone dares to drive up to the merge point, everyone gets angry. I'm not saying - AT ALL - that the cammer was somehow correct in what they did - they were horribly incorrect. I'm not actually speaking about the clip so much as I'm speaking about the state of our roads today and am using this clip as an example.

Edit: I’m definitely wrong in my original comment. Probably saw an old statute. An improved shoulder does allow passing in quite a few instances if the vehicle is stopped. In this instance, if the lane continued, that would have been fine, but it ended right after the guy passed. The person who stopped should have gone up a little bit further where the merge was, but it wasn’t miles before like many people will do. Original: Sorry dude, but you should brush up on your TX law because it’s not legal to pass utilizing the shoulder. It explicitly states it.

The car was riding NOT PASSING and was in the trucks blind spot. The truck did not make contact and my cousin even said that if he responded to this incident based on the bide then the man in the car would have received a summons for failure to stay in the driving lane. This was that persons own stupidity. I have friends and family that are truckers. Stay in the right lane like you are supposed to by law and stay out of a trucks blind spot. If the guy in the car was passing the truck he would have been driving at a passing speed. CAR IS AT FAULT.

In some states, it is illegal for cops to shine their spotlight into a car unless they have reasonable suspicion. If there’s actual danger then they are permitted, but they can’t just flash people just for speeding. There also could have been a better way to warn cammer. Besides, if they flash a car and cause them to crash, they will definitely be held liable.
