I use Kick 2 in a completely different way to make snares, love to see a new methodology.

@@DashGlitch OMG, thank you, I hadn't reached this part of the video yet! just to be clear, the sounds were not recorded at a construction site just around my house, which I guess in some senses could be thought of as a construction site

dude why the fuck didn't i think of this! so fucking genius. i dunno why i felt snares have to be done in serum etc and kick 2 is just for kicks. this is gonna be a game changer for me. thank you so much

life saver! since K2 doesn't have a multi out and applying distortion to the tonal and to the noise/attack parts at the same time might be not your thing, route separate them into two instances and route to one midi input.

There are snare presets in kick2.. Not hating on the vid, it’s a great tutorial, but it’s not anything that wasn’t already a basic feature of the plug-in

I’m keen to try chopsuey by Dawsome or Tracktion (can’t remember who) It’s a lot like kick 2 but more control of the transient, body and tail.

It’s definitely a lot of fucking around but you can get some sweeeet results

Nice! I’ve been experimenting with this a bit. Do you have any suggestions for how to make variations that could comprise a multi sample instrument? Trying to find something more than just volume changes through velocity to make a more dynamic, playable feel that still retains one cohesive sound.
@DashGlitch10 ай бұрын
If you use Bitwig you could just put a sampler alongside it on an instrument layer and set the sampler to multisample :)

Kick 2 is great! Do you know any good trance plugins for claps / snares and hihats? Right know I use Nexus and it does not feel optimal and I'm not too fond of using samples directly. Today I bought Prism drums, great for pop and retro. I wish there was something similiar for edm/trance/dance/techno.

I bought the Sound directive kick 2 snare pack and all of them were so bad ... i will go and tweak them now

Heyya Dash! I hope I don't sound entitled but not sure how to ask.. Do you by chance know some of the techniques dudes on Sonic Loom, Deviant Force, and Alice-D are using to get this wild sounds and arrangements? I have a hard time even describing it. haha Maybe it sounds more complex than it is? Idk. Imma Noob. Lol

Just put more FX and sweeps, lots of random pitch and FM sounds

in times of countless sound packs, making snares is obsolete.

You have absoluteley no idea man. The genre is not for everyone for sure, but it is for people who loves Music, and not for people who listens to whatever is most popular to the majority. Go make another trap beat😅

I don't understand though, this is a snare tutorial. There was no music in the video lol. Is the genre you are on about "having snares in your music"?

@@DashGlitchi suspect that the troll might be referring to Psytrance, when speaking of genre😅. Sorry for my bad english, danish is my native language

@@DashGlitch from 2024 snares are banned from music. Clapping is still allowed though.
