Thanks for sharing this video. I was working for more than 15 years in the data engineering field. My opinion is before start the Data science you should have basic knowledge about the data analytics and Data engineering field. Then easily you can understand and enter to the Data science field.

Thanks for the informative video Malinda. Thought of sharing my experience with the audience. I now work as a BI analyst in the public sector in Australia. I got my bachelors in Physical Sciences from Sri Lanka and came here to study Data Analytics masters. Apart from this I was as able to obtain Microsoft certification in Power BI data analysis. I think it’s really important to have statistics/mathematics as a strong base and specialised in specific tool for BI, data engineering or data analytics. And if you’re a new to a data career, try to obtain a skill based certification for example from Microsoft. This will help you to stand out from the crowd. Plan yourself and find a niche. And then try to get certified and up skill yourself. You need to learn learn learn because these tools are updating rapidly. Opportunities are endless for example here in Australia. I hope you can get something from this. Good luck 😊

AI can automate certain data science tasks like data preparation and visualization, but lacks skills like critical thinking and strategic oversight . AI will assist rather than replace data scientists, with hybrid human-AI teams becoming more common . Data science as a field will grow, with data scientists focusing more on high-value responsibilities that drive key business goals . Artificial intelligence and machine learning tools will gradually become easier and cheaper to adopt, democratizing competition and solving complex problems with ease . The future is not man versus machine where AI replaces data scientists but rather, man enhanced by machine .

@@nimeshbandara6450 ඉරිසායවට කියන කතා private campus හැම එකක්ම හොද නෑ හැබැයි sliit , nsbm , cinec වගේ ඒවා හොදයි. ගොඩක් රජයෙ කැම්පස් ගිහිල්ලා doctor , engineer වෙච්ච අයගේ ලමයි ගොඩක් ඉගෙන ගන්නේ private campus වල. Private campus හොද නැත්නම් ඒ ලමයි private campus දාන්නෙ නෑනෙ.

Uni එකේ World Ranking එකත් සමහර වෙලාවට ප්‍රයෝජනයක් වෙනව, විශේෂයෙන්ම මුල්ම ජොබ් එක ගන්නකොට.. එහෙම එකක් කරන්න පුලුවන් නම්, සල්ලි manage කරගන්නත් පුලුවන් නම්, ඒ චාන්ස් එක ගන්න.. නීත්‍යානුකූල පිලිගැනීම නම් කොහොමත් එකයි.

Data science means basically, techniques and skills used to get hidden insights from data. but AI means something like which learns from data. Data science wala basically ma wenne getting something new; like a surprise/smth innovative. AI can't be innovative as i know... and also, Data science and AI kiyanne loku domains dekak but there are overlaps. So as I think, there's no any considerable impact... someone correct me if i'm wrong
