Wow, just pulled mine out of long term storage. Been at least 20 years since I last looked at it. Have tapes of my 36 year old going to 1st grade. Just ordered a new belt on ebay. Mine was liquefied. Thanks for the video.

Do you have the belt info? I was given one of these with many accessories but no need and was selling it till asked if it worked. saw belt was “off” but ended up being like caulk. wondered if ya recall the part number.

In Germany we had a lot of brands selling S8 projectors but only a few produced them themself. Porst for example is only buying stuff put their lable on and selling them so they were cheap and low quality products. I have two S8 projectors. 1. Is an Elmo K110-SM Dual-8 silent movie projector so it can do R-8 and S-8. 2. Is my Eumig S820 HQS S-8 sound projector for magnetic sound tracks. Eumig is an Austrian manufacturer which build projectors on their own and Elmo is a still existing japanese manufacturer. One difference to your take-up wheel is that all of mine has auto loading so the film will automatically taken by the wheel so no need to put the film manually on the tak-up wheel.

Thanks for your video. I have no idea where I acquired this one, but I did. I'm having trouble loading it; the feed doesn't seem to move down through the projector, getting stuck and wrapped up on the very first loading sprocket. If I can figure that out, I think this will serve my purpose.

Very likely the rubber belt has disintegrated. Easy fix once you clean up the gunk it transformed into.

This may be a dumb question buuut, how would one go about getting the sound if the projector can't play it? I just snagged one of these thay appears possibly never used and just realizing through this video that there may not be a sound option

Hey, do you know where I can buy the bulb? 8 Volt, 50 Watt, ASA Code CXR/CXL if not is there any alternative bulb that I can use?

Mine doesn’t omit any light, I replaced the bulb, any suggestions?

Comment is 6 years old, but if you're still looking, the one I just picked up is in excellent condition with original box and manuals. Sounded cool at the time, but thinking maybe too much effort to hobby right now. That and the 4 kiddos I have aged 9 and under are not real impressed.

Dual 8 refers to Super 8 and 8mm formats.
