First of all Cloudcastle is insane in the deck. Second of all the fact you say you brick is insane to me. I spent a day on DB and won 8-0 with only a single brick. I was usually trying to end on VFD Macro and if I couldn't I either ended on hust VFD or my opponent had nibiru. Albeit the time I did brick I drew eleven cards and they were three desires, three talents, two gamma, driver, called by, qinglong, and on turn 3 a single Jiji.

Sure, the Halq Administration was a pretty big change, but I can't complain. I got a government-mandated job at the Scrap Factory, and while I still don't know what exactly I'm doing there (are we making dogs or robots?), it's a much better gig than the Datascape Mines. I still get to see the sun every now and again!

My biggest issue with Datascape is the Extra deck space. I should tell you about the Cloud Castle Combo, basically you can make VFD if you have Trap Gate in GY and Datascape fox on field with a level 3 tuner. The Trap lowers Fox level by 3 and you summon Cloudcastle, and cloudcastle brings back the fox you just synchroed with to give you two lv 9s to summon VFD. Overall I feel the Phantom Knight Datascape build is more consistent, since you can also open Tear Scale or Terrotop for a guaranteed datascape on board to start procedings and with tear scale you should get at least 1 fogblade search. I also can't underestimate how valuable Primitive Butterfly is, especially in tandem with Number 3: Cicada King, a free level 6 if you open it at least gives you the chance to tribute summon your lv 6s if you open bad.

How does Tear Scale give you access to a Tuner for the Synchro VW/Datascape name?

You play one of the Rank-3 datascapes preferrably Shell as you can detach a mat right away to get boots into gy and get a fogblade. Its at least better than not being able to play at all due to not opening any lv 3 datascapes. Scale does create a dangerous chokepoint but it does also provide a way to get your continous spell from hand to grave.

@@johnnywilson3071 I guess but where do you go after making Shell? VFD makes the Fogblade redundant so logically you should go into a Tzolkin play for Crystal. But then you have 2 monster negates which is worse than VFD, meaning you can bring out Abyss and end with Monster Negate + Field Target Omni Negate?

Ideally you won't go for the Phantom Knight lines if you open with your typical optimal datascape setup. Its there as a back-up route to getting a datascape on board and getting some form of interruption to push for the next turn. A lot of people are also underestimating trap card, quick-effect destruction is underrrated.

Hmm... neat gimmick but I think my only use for any of this will be the "ethical" Halquifibrax play of summoning Phantom King Hydride from deck then during opponents turn tagging into Desert Locust to rip a card before using locust and phantom king to make Kyubi. It feels like a reasonable play that slots perfectly as a side option/follow up play in my current favorite (well soon to be favorite) deck... Penguin Brave turbo. PENGUIN BEST DECK... hmm on second thoughts... Jaja might be worth a test as well

If you don't count danger thunder or any of the guardragon variants dragon link, then yes. While the black and white dragons were at 3, the deck was pretty resilient. Honestly thinking back on it those cards are absolutely absurd, losing out the consistency of hard drawing them made what was the most scary deck in the format into mot even the top 5. Seyfret made the cards easy to search and the deck received another boost with chaos space letting them be searched even easier. Sorry for the tangent, but this made me realize just how degenerate those cards are.

Suggestion for a TMT. Ancient Warrior Eldlich. 1) There is synergy. AW can send Eldlich cards to the GY for their effects. This allows you to at least gain some advantage from your sends. Eldlich can send the AW spells to the GY to revive himself and that activates the spells' effect in GY. 2) Ancient Warriors have gotten more support since your first TMT on them. They have a link 2 that is a quick eff bounce and a rota on summon. The new monster is also a free body that can give two pops per turn. He locks you into AW monster effects. Eldlich doesn't really care about monster effects. 3) You can play this as a going first variant and you can often end on 3-5 interruptions.

in the recent OCG report this deck and prank kids both made it the top 2 spots. 12 decks virtual world and 9 prank kids . the OCG doesnt really have to deal with eldlich or dragoon like we do or worry about dragon link, those all play massive rolls as to this decks viability in the tcg

I'm a huge fan of the assault mode engine. It sets you to bait a negate and if you open the searcher spell or continous spell with any 1 in-archetype monster that's fine

So, I have been playing this for a bit and am in the discord, I'd like to point a few things out. 1) The are some extra things you can do to extend beyond VFD pass. You can add Ultimaya Tzolkin and crystal wing to the ED and make the frequently. You can even play muddy Mudragon and if you can make that and Tzolkin you can end on Crystal Wing + Caliga + a Live trap. So they only get 1 monster effect and you can negate it. 2) The card that isn't coming out, isn't even that good. You would play 1 Max and only helps weird hands. I don't think the deck is that inconsistent. It could definitely be more consistent, but it isn't that bad.
