My close family friends are married doctors! One is a pediatric surgeon and the other is a forensic psychiatrist. Like all marriages I think they have their struggles, but they are both definitely extremely understanding of each other's schedules. An interesting discussion for sure! Enjoy your trip to SF! Yes, doctors can date anyone because they sets their own standards what their spouse meet same goals. Like how they raising their own kids, having same money management skills or anything that have meet each other personals goals.

Dear Shaun, you remind me of my dear nephew. Like yourself he is good looking, super cool and very smart. He is on the way to becoming an orthopaedic surgeon and his fiancée a cardiologist. They met during their second year of med school and have finished applying for residency as a couple. Their wedding is next May and I don't know how they found the time to date with their gruelling schedule but it worked out 💞

You guys are cute friends! 😉 I personally wouldn’t like to date someone in my field (nursing). My husband does financial stuff and it’s nice our skills are expanded that way since I know nothing about finance. Also I’ve always thought it’d be hard if we had kids, we’d either have to work separate holidays or the same holidays and leave the kids alone 😅 Even now that I don’t know if I even want kids, I think about how our schedules would probably clash if we were in the same field. Healthcare is a hard field though and it’s easy to trauma bond. Which is one reason why I have a lot of nurse friends (female) because otherwise I think that’s where the stigma of cheating in healthcare comes to life 😅 just my opinion 😅

after dating people outside of medicine, id rather date someone in medicine because it truly is frustrating the lack of understanding they have for the field but I do understand your point with variety and wanting to discuss topics outside of medicine when youre trying to relax double edged sword😅
