jimmy reaction to Nicocle story is exactly the reaction you gonna have if your crush from highschool tell you that she had a crush on you at high school reunion.
@eolsunder

Actually this is a story where a women out of your league tells you she had a crush on you, and you being the person who didn't date women like that were just amazed. He was a nobody at that point just starting his career, and she was at her prime at that point a big hollywood star. In todays terms it would be like Gal Gadot in 10 years telling John Mulaney she had a crush on him. when she was in Wonderwoman.

I truly believe that Jimmy acted like that almost the whole time because he was thinking about his wife and about Nicole's husband, he doesn't want to cause any trouble to any of the couples. In addition to him being absolutely oblivious about Nicole liking him. At the end he pulled himself together and was comfortable joking about it and how he acted then.

Tbh I don't think Keith would be that alarmed upon hearing that. Nicole Kidman did have quite a few relationships previously, especially between ending with Tom Cruise and starting with Keith Urban. And especially in a place like Hollywood and media, there are a couple of stories that can be very wild. Probably her husband has heard about the story before even. And at this point I feel Nancy would be sort of used to it too. Just recently Kate Hudson revealed her 'history' with Jimmy Fallon too.

Exactly. Rather than indulge his own curiosity or trying to make great TV his instinct was to protect his wife and their relationship. The Nicole Kidman Jimmy Fallon interview is one of my al time favorite interviews. I like your insight and point of view, but I think you're off a bit. I believe before or later on this show they both play box of lies. They each have to guess if they are lying about what is in the box. Nicole in game lies about a condom being in her box and Jimmy guesses wrong on purpose to let her win. Her feelings for him never went away and its clear from the interview they didn't. In a 2nd later interview Nicole goes back to reveal there was more. The major revelation in that interview is when she said it was okay that he wasn't interested in her. Jimmy responds by saying "No, it wasn't that I wasn't interested. It was that you were out..." And there it is! Jimmy KNEW he could have dated her back then but he felt she was out of his league and therefore didn't even try. In the second interview Jimmy finds out how strong her feelings were when she reveals to him that she was schemed for them to both be alone at a party so they can start a relationship. She clearly went out of her way to get him, but he always felt she was out of his league and let the opportunity pass.

I actually think he did the right thing by trying to go back to the scripted convo because he has a wife. And yeah she is Nicole Kidman but Jimmy's wife is important to him. And imagine being in Jimmy's wife's shoes, suddenly a film star who is considered as one of the most beautiful woman in the world, who is talented and successful, suddenly revealed she had a thing for her husband. Had Jimmy talked about it too much, it would have given off a vibe of him regretting not taking a chance on her when he is happily married to someone else and it would have implied he regrets his wife since he could have had Nicole. He was unprepared for this interaction and i would say he handled it pretty well and respectfully. Whereas Keith is concerned, I am pretty sure Nicole told him about it beforehand and prepared him for what she was about to say in the show. Jimmy's wife had no idea and he had to make sure that he didn’t offend his wife or Keith.

Oh my gosh, YAY!!! Thank you SO MUCH for taking my request for this video!!! You rule! And you are SO right about how it’s so frustrating for us as women, because, at least in my case, I either get hit on by a bunch of douchebags or I get no flirty vibes from the sweet guys that I would definitely say yes too if they asked me out. :( I just want to tell them, “Dude, if you asked me out, I would say ‘yes!’ Make a move!” I’ve had several guys I used to like tell me years later that they liked me when I liked them, but like Jimmy, they didn’t make a move, so I thought they didn’t like me. I thought, “Dang it! You should’ve said something!” #MissedOpportunities :( And I liked so we can get Part 2 with Keith Urban!!! LOVE that clip! SO GOOD!

Loved this! Would love even more if you could react to interview videos of Angelina Jolie and Michelle Pfieffer, because when they were promoting the Malificent 2 movie last year, Angelina revealed to Michelle that she used to have a crush on her and in all of their interviews there seem to be some undeniable chemistry and tension between them even when they are interviewed with other actors in the movie, something that others are noticing as well. Would really enjoy having your take on their dynamic in several of these videos, but especially the one with Access where Angelina reveals her teen crush on Michelle.

I just watched the original interview for the first time here in 2020 and now yours. You nailed it. I kept waiting the whole time for him to explain himself in any way - a sentence or two - anything. It only confirmed that he was not the open, emotionally mature person who would match her at her level. She made a good choice going with Keith. Don't get me wrong Jimmy is the best talk show host and good person to say the least. But I felt how crappy that was to have him sort of throw her under the bus so to speak. He's the one who blew it when she was clearly into him at the time. She's not still into him like everyone thinks. It's just the resolving of feelings from that confusing hour and half with him showing no effort or interest. Playing videos?! You've gotta be kidding me? I've been in this situation - yes men either pursuing aggressively or playing this weird barely noticing your presence game. Then later acting like they liked you, but you didn't make it happen somehow. This is why when we find just a normal guy we jump for joy, whether or not he's our soulmate or anything, just happy to be around someone normal.

Yes definitely, and it's that women are from Venus Men are from Mars. Very hard to read each other. Women are programmed to let the guy make the first move, so if a guy is not making the moves we assume they're not interested. But it seems guys need quite a bit of reassurance too, they don't pick up that we might be interested we actually have to say we are, which is kind of foreign to us women (I suppose that's where the vunerability thing comes in), here in lies the problem 😅

I know you made this analysis as a teaching moment. But if Jimmy had followed what you said I think this interview wouldn’t have been so entertaining to watch. I’d love to know ur thoughts on some of the other talk show hosts, do any of them have charm? Personally I don’t feel that connection with a lot of the major American names although I still like them and watch them. One host that sticks out to me is graham norton and I would love to know ur thoughts, to me it always seems he puts his guests at ease and he doesn’t have these big fancy game shows with his guests like in a lot of the American ones but yet I would be more entertained by the conversations and the light he shines on others. Also I love ur channel so much I have learnt a lot over this quarantine ready to get out there

By the way .... you should definitely react to Craig Ferguson and how he interacted with his female guests in his late night show..., That guy was just a natural flirt, every time, it never failed

nicole, with her charm and confidence really dominates this interview. this is the lesson of the clip for me, not only to not shy away from embarassing moments, but laugh at them and own them. no wonder she's an A lister. Jimmy on the other hand, shows negative charisma, and not just in this one. You should make a video about him, as a cautionary tale because he has one of the most interesting jobs in the world, comes in contact with amazing people every day and he is bland, tasleless and boring as someone who has nothing genuine to say And as a woman, I agree with the overly flirty/ shy guys dichotomy. I almost always connect with men who approach me as a friend and don't try to impress

So true. I’d love a more in depth video on Jimmy. The funny thing is that when he has an SNL cast member on his show he lights up and he’s very charming. But with everyone else he is so bland! The worst interviewer on a major program.

Wow. What a ridiculous comment! Jimmy is definitely not boring, in fact his interview with Blake Shelton last year is one of THE best interviews I’ve ever seen, I watch it at least once a week because it always makes me smile. Jimmy is SO charming and sassy and playful and you can tell Blake adores him. Jimmy is by far one of the better entertainers on TV and when he plays games with his guests he’s always super funny. He has a very expressive face and adorable mannerisms, it’s delightful to just watch him be a dork with people.

Is there something Nicole could have done to save it? Sometimes I get in this spot where someone else is not accepting something or avoidant, but in that spot what would you do to ease the awkwardness?

I love your shirt Anthony. It looks hella good on ya! Also... I think Fallon really did feel a attraction toward Nicole during this interaction I think he felt somewhat intimidated in a way, but it doesn't necessarily need to be a bad thing (she is a beautiful woman) I believe the reason why he acted so funny is because he is a little embarrassed that he didn't know back then (like you mentioned) since we sometimes are told we should know the (not so always) "obvious signs" But in the end what really matters is if you can deal with the situation in a somewhat playful manner at least, and have a good time anyway without feeling awkward after. Not over thinking or panicking is key though for it is super easy to walk into that trap

How could he go "into the conversation"? They're both married, he's obviously attracted to her, there's a clear chemistry and he's trying not to feel gilty about it.

I had to make the first move on every guy I have dated. I really like shy, nervous, nerdy guys. When I got with my now husband I had to make the moves for the first few times. Once he really understood I was interested he pursued me alot more. When it comes to men like this it is best you make it obvious you are into them.
