the only way the writers can make jiara work would be if there's a new love interest for pope, if jiara happens fast it would make us hate kiara for playing with all her friends' hearts, also knowing how much JJ cares about his friends, he won't date kie unless he's sure pope and her won't work

actually i think that’s the reason why they added cleo. maybe pope will realize kie wasn’t the one and start falling for cleo so jj won’t technically break “the bro code” if he’s completely over her

I think regardless of this episode or whatever is to come - JJ is a great friend to both, so even if it is hinted at sometimes that he has a thing for Kiara, he wouldn't stand in the way or have any bad blood with them. He knows they are both great people and deserve to be happy, and I think he would step aside at any point regardless of his feelings because he is such a loyal person and because of his own struggles, he sees Pope as more than himself and someone that deserves love

From the moment I started s1 I wanted jj and kie together bc they just made sense to me as a couple but for sure the best thing about the trio’s dynamic is the friendship, the love and the support. I’d like to see more love triangle drama but pope, jj and kie’s friendship is very precious so I just hope the writers don’t mess that up.

tbh since jj cares so much about his friendships, esp with kiara and pope, i don't think he'd be the type of person to get in the middle of it. he's just the type of guy who stays out of love drama or drama in general which i love about him and i want it to stay that way. jj and kiara obviously would be cute but pope matters too much to them ofc so they wouldn't do that to him. i just don't want pope to be upset next seasonn

I think they will probably set up pope and Cleo, so pope will be alright. Because as for pope and kiara, the chemistry is not smooth, it's being way too Rocky from the start.

as much as i love jiara, i don’t necessarily feel like there were any romantic undertones for them apart from in the last bit but a lot of people keep romanticising it even though he almost died and it’s odd.

@@sofi3535 The way JJ looked at Kie clearly indicates there’s something brewing between them that’s not romanticizing anything it’s literally what happened. What I DO find ODD is how people claim certain scenes between Jiara are being “romanticized” when it’s canon that JJ feels something more for Kiara then turn around and romanticize scenes between Pope and JJ or any other ship for that matter. There are so many tropes between ships that showcase the guy saving the girl they love that are used in ship edits yet NO ONE says anything is being romanticized it’s ONLY used to downplay Jiara which is ODD. JJ and Kiara obviously deeply care for each other and people can sense the connection they share with each other that’s NOT romanticizing anything.

That's not the romantic part, the romantic part is the fact that he paused deliberately after seeing her hand on his chest and then proceeded immediately to try and flirt with her right after. Like he literally almost died and the first thing he does is to try and flirt with Kiara, not even jokingly.
