I love how you pointed out that it was totally fine that Sarah was relying on Topper, and that Topper could be there for her without it inherently being romantic. You're going to still have a connection with an ex, and probably trust them to an extent unless it ended horribly. Sarah is still going to have some trust towards Topper, and Topper is still going to look out for Sarah, even if Sarah isn't looking at it in a romantic way.

Hate to tell you but when she said she was uncomfortable in season 1 he wasn't nice about it. Basically she gave him consent and then changed her mind which is TOTALLY FINE but he got really angry at her for it. Unless you're referring to a different scene that I'm not remembering lolll

I think he is talking about John b and Sarah church tower scene when john b was like “then we’ll wait”. But got John b and topper mixed up with those scenes . But for topper scene he got really mad and left her after she was uncomfortable. But again John b was patient and respectful. Hope that makes sense :)

jack mcbride well I think he could of at least comforted her and not leave but also make sure she was ok and help her instead of ditch. But this is if it was real life, this was character development for topper and Sarah which then set the scenes and was needed for the future part of the show.

Exactly, it was totally uncomfortable watching that scene. He acted like an idiot trying to blame her for not wanting to be with him. He threw a tantrum because she hit his fragile manhood.

Your memory does not serve you correctly in this matter. 😅 In season 1 when Sarah decided she didn't want to sleep with Topper he stopped but he got angry with her about it and acted like a jerk, treating her like she was a tease or something.

anthonyyy you're killing meeeee yeah jj's immature and impulsive as hell but it's part of his arccc (also that resonates with kie a lot though, she is very impulsive too. they're both extremely free-spirited, that impulsiveness and life in him are what she needs, which is why pope holds her back) also last video you said you didn't think they were setting up a love triangle but what about the kiss cheek???????? don't worry it gets more obvious in the next episodes but also on episodes 1 and 2!!!!! pleaseeeee later watch episodes 1 and 2!!!!!! it has a lot of insight, i know you didn't watch season 1 but kie actually rejected pope when he first confessed, she later kissed him after emotional turmoil when they had to say goodbye to john b (when he was escaping from the police and etc, he had to flee on a boat that later sunk) you'll see, but she doesn't have feelings for him, she's forcing herself to try and that's why she shuts him down when he tries to touch her, etc. those episodes also have a very jealous jj which is also hilarious (I'm still not over the way he asks kie about pope) and when he asks pope about her please notice his (subtle) body language hahaha i know you love that, before he collects himself and actually gives pope advice, when pope first says that "last night, she was all over me" jj actually winces and takes a step back before collecting himself, putting the facade on. it's a second, he rapidly starts to give advice but still he also in a moment straight-up screams "why do you always take his side? why do you never take mine?"...........when pope is technically her boyfriend....... hahahaha i'd love to see you analyze thatttt dating coach reacts to jj maybank spiraling

I am a jiara shipper. And I like watching this for box and relationship advice. And it is so interesting to see him analyze the relationships. I can't wait until he analyzes the end of the season.

I didn’t think about the root maturity levels…. Like when she was playing with the joint and JJ was pretending to be a dog, that’s still surface level where they appear to match each other’s energy. When things get more serious there is a kinda large difference between them. Where Kiara would have to be the mature/practical one in a (romantic) dating relationship with her and JJ, and she would probably quickly get very annoyed at that because that isn’t how she fundamentally is. I thought about JJ and Kiara a lot towards the END of the season, but this also exists. Hope you keep watching!! Excited especially for episode SEVEN AND EIGHT… they’re both PACKED with things to analyze. And I also like how you analyze the friendship dynamics too :)… like the disagreement in the car and then Sarah B (!!) and Topper! If you saw episode 1, you saw how Topper even cared a little about JJ. It was impressive to see while also feeling natural.

I'm sorry but I have to say that Topper was very toxic in season 1, when he didn't react at all well when Sarah didn't want to be with him. He was possessive of her, and he didn't accept the fact that she didn't want to date him anymore, he simply offended her. And in season 2 he takes advantage of her frailties to try to get closer, and even uses a phone to track her, that doesn't seem healthy and kind to me at all.

I mean, if it's true I'm curious to see how the writers will explain that. Rafe is 19 and Kie is 16. So when he was like 17 she was 14... Idk, unless we talk about just crushes I can be ok with that but I highly doubt that something happened with her that young (I know that in real life a 14 yo can actually dates older but not adult guys but still)

i feel like she might've had a "bff's brother" kinda crush going on since she hung around their house so much and he was a bit older. and rafe seems sorta oddly attracted to her in the show. i doubt that they had a relationship, but there is definitely some type of history there, at least that's how the actors played it imo.
