Hey friends! Welcome back yet again for vlogmas day 5 out of 12! 🎄Maybe you could tell I was super nervous to film this... I forgot half the points I wanted to bring up so lmk if you're interested in a part 2 sometime? It was fun to show you a little nightlife in manhattan! More importantly, our fundraiser for the Ali Forney Center is almost $500 away from our 10k goal!! AHHHH!! I was thinking of going live next week to celebrate? Ok, thanks for watching ❤Side note, my camera was fighting for its life in the dark restaurant in bars LOL. Bear with me 🤣Link to donate to the AFC: fundraise.aliforneycenter.org/chelsea-callahan

Okay so I'm going to be totally blunt with you okay so if you want children like I would say start to date seriously like before you're near 40 because my mom had me when she was in her fifties and even though she had me she had a lot of complications so like you already know you're a smarty right so you already know and I'm sure that Tisha knows as well but it's more like a gamble as you get older but that's just how it is now if you don't and if you're not wanting kids in this life and you're not like in a rush to have kids then like seriously no pressure ever

I’m loving every single one of these videos and get SO excited when I see you post because it feels like catching up with a friend haha I turn 31 on Monday and it definitely feels like a tide is turning (that can’t be the right phrase..) Eating out alone is soooo underrated and as someone with food anxiety I actually prefer it! So watching you go out to eat alone really reminds me to keep doing it! 💕 Also did I cry when you first posted reaching like $8000 in 3 days?? Sure did 😂 so proud great job ! And it makes ME feel good helping YOU reach your goals 🥰

In Germany the first date is often a walk (ein Spaziergang) and I like that a lot. You can walk around the city or a Park and If both like then you can stop for a coffee, lunch or dinner and if not.... You walk home alone.

So I’m actually in the process of getting divorced after being married for 12 years. I am so ridiculously excited to get back to my single life. And not because I want to date. There’s just such a beauty in the freedom and autonomy of solo living and I didn’t expect to miss that so intensely. If I ever get into another serious relationship again, separate residences will be a MUST. lol, but for real. Anyway, I think that’s why I’m so drawn to channels like yours, Chelsea, and other women in their early to mid 30s living the single life. It’s where I left off before I got married, and you remind me so much of me and that perfect time in my life (that I didn’t recognize was so perfect until looking back much later)! Now that I’m 51, I get to go back and do it again, but this time with perspective from the other side. Like instead of starting over from scratch, I get to start over from experience and how cool is that? Sorry for the cheesy tangent, your video today just made me realize one of the subconscious draws I have to your content and why I love it and you so much! Future you is already so proud of you, Chelsea. Just keep going just as you are, you literally can’t lose, miss, or mess up whatever is meant to be for you.

I remember being single at 33, living in a big city. I remember hearing that dating in NYC was very difficult. I did end up meeting my ex husband at 35, married at 37 and divorced at 40 due to infertility struggles. I’m only sad that I don’t have kids. Currently in a relationship with a great guy who didn’t want more kids but I chose to stay with him bc I really love him and did not want to have children on my own at an advanced age-touch decision. Anyway, I would recommend not judging guys for how “cool” they are. Living in cities makes women especially hyper focused on very superficial external qualities. Also, don’t listen to girlfriends. Reconnect with the real you without beyond favorite restaurants and bars and look for someone with similar values. Good luck!

I didn't get married until I was 47. There had been other relationships and opportunities for building a family but none of it felt right (granted it did take a bit of effort to get past standard societal expectations) until I met my future husband (also childless) when I was 45. I focused on building my career and making my own way (including meeting the goal of buying my own home by 30). What this has led to is life focused on contributions, family, & friends and an early retirement at 50. Although I am beyond blessed by having a partner, it had always been very rewarding. And on my own terms.

I’d love to have kids but it’s important to acknowledge the time constraints women have, especially if we don’t have the means to freeze our eggs and buy a little more time. My problem also might be that I don't use dating apps and I live in the Netherlands where I think men don't really want to commit... I was single until I was 35. Married the guy I always meant to date in high school at 36. We had twins a year later. No outside help, just natural conception. Changed my life. The marriage did not work out, but love having my babies. They are now almost 30. I remained single while they grew up- did not date for 14 years. I was pursued by a man who tolerated me and hung around me while I went to nursing school in my fifties. I think I met him when I was 52. We eventually lived together... and after 12 years we tied the knot. We have now been living together since 2013 and married since July 2023. We have a great marriange and I am enjoying my life. Wish I could retire but I was a dumb ass when it came to investing in pensions and 401 Ks. I am now 66.... and I could not be happier. xxxxxx Wishing you luck. Do not fret.

Funny enough when I was 30, I decided to force myself to go to a local spot where the vibes were my style. I just decided to be open to chatting and meeting people. Lo and behold the bartender was cute in my eyes, we started to chat. I actually blew him off for 6 months as I was getting over someone else but he would periodically check in on me to hang out. I went back to the restaurant in the spring as it was genuinely good, we rekindled. And now we have dated for 3 years, come to find out he is also a home body like me. So you just never know in NYC. My mom on the other hand didn't meet my dad until she was 38.

You are so funny, great sense of humor, adventurous, so pretty. Stop looking, a good one will come, but not necessary.

well I'm 50 and have been single since 2016 and I love the fact the the only person I have to care about is me. Relationships come and go, but the only one that remains is the one you have with yourself, I know, it sounds cheesy, but it's true. I love my life, my little apartment and the fact that I can choose what to do (or not) with my time. I'm happy to see you enjoying yourself and having fun. That's the end goal after all, to be happy and enjoy life, no matter the age. Have a great day and thank you for another great video. See you tomorrow and greetings from Germany 🤍

I love trying new food so I always want to share dishes and it's big in the culture here in Melbourne as well. I think Melbourne is like NYC in that it's very diverse and a very 'foody' city, so there are so many amazing places to eat. In Australia and appetiser is a tiny snack which is often called 'small bites' on the menu. The entree is a smaller meal you have before main course. So the order would be appetiser, entree, main, dessert. I'm loving your vlogmas content so much and you're very. brave for going to restaurants and filming by yourself. Good job Chelsea 🥰

Thanks for the date, it was fun! Omg I laughed out loud at the end when you did the sobriety test or whatever you call it. And you should never get in to a car with a stranger again, take care, and the badge could be a fake one. I wish I could run in NYC but not a marathon! Never gonna happen. I'm happy if I ever could come to visit.

That was cute Chelsea. Thank you🤣. And don’t worry girl sometimes it’s better to focus on just you and not worry about insecurities, emotional roller coasters and broken hearts- says a girl who’s been there. You’re great with just you❤😊

I was single for decades, now into my 20 years with my Life Partner. He's in year 5 of battling cancer, so I really don't know how much time he does have. I do know after all is said and done, I am moving to the Boston area and remaining single for the rest of my days. Relationships are rewarding and hard at the same time. I think being happy is key, no matter how you spend your life. Just remember Chelsea, you might have to get approval from 110K before we allow him to date you. HAHAHAHAHAHA🤣

Love the reference to that hilarious drunk driving stop at the end of the video! I think that was a proper moonwalk as well.

All the food you tired sounded fun & amazing. That's the beauty of NYC so many awesome places to eat. I read somewhere once that you could live in NYC & go to a different restaurant everyday for the rest of your life & still not try them all. Because there are so many & new ones are opening & closing all the time. Where else in the world can you experience all these different cultures/ culinary experiences? It's like trying the food without having to travel to that country. I've heard it's extremely hard to meet someone in NYC. So happy to see you are content with your life & aren't looking for love. I think you are growing more as a person by experiencing things on your own. Love will find you when you least expect it & if you don't at least you are finding out what you need/ what makes you happy. Was that a video from the 90's show: Cops?!😂 love it either way😅

Trouble is there is probably so much choice it could be tricky finding the really special places. Much like a romantic partner, I suppose
