When I went to med school in NJ it was so interesting because a huge contingent of students in my class had the last name Kim or Park -- so you are right, in NJ there are lots of folks with Korean background. I loved the diversity but here in Houston the weather is better and honestly it at least as diverse if not more so. As long as I am not in the middle of homogeneity and I have an H mart nearby I am happy :). Unrelated but I gave Nakd Seoul sweatshirts as gifts at Christmas and everybody loved them :)

Anna, you are so right about the amount of parks in and around central London. I visited several years ago and I swear every neighborhood had a substantial park space. Full of grass to lounge or play games, recreation, really nice. NYC has at least one huge main park in each of the five boroughs and some smaller parks throughout, but not all neighborhoods have a really nice park space.

If you want to be in parks with grassy areas you have to go to Queens. Go to Gantry Park in Long Island City or Randall‘s Island in the city. There’s a long trail in Woodhaven in Queens but all these places would be a lot better when it’s warmer outside.

Huh -- I was in NYC just over a week ago visiting some friends (all of whom are musicians/artists), took in show by a friend's band, and watched the World Cup finale with another friend at an Irish sports bar. Almost all of this was in Brooklyn. I think Manhattan has gradually gotten more and more boring over the years of my visits, and its holiday feel was *way* down from the last time I was there (they should have at least decorated the temporary concrete barriers they put up to protect the wider sidewalks from....whatever). The impromptu parade and celebration by Argentine fans in Times Square was actually kind of a nice New York moment, but that area is still pretty much just a tourist trap. All of the US Northeast cities have good dining now, with Providence (and maybe New Haven) having better pizza. Walking through Brooklyn actually reminded me of some parts of London away from its center, with cute little eateries and shops scattered about all over (I do wish the Boston area, where I live, had diners like those old school ones NY still has all over.) I also read that Queens now even has a better "Chinatown" for Asian dining. If you're really thinking of moving to NY, you might want to do another visit to check out the areas outside of Manhattan. I actually like LA a lot, but it feels more like a niche city: it has the warm weather, but unless you are in the entertainment industry in some way, or into local surfing & amusement parks, there really isn't much else of special interest going on there. I think. But your vids do make Manhattan look not *that* boring, so kudos for that.

Whenever i see vlogs of people eating outside- and they gush over it ,i know that they probably can’t cook or their cooking is limited to making eggs,heating up things and mixing things from packets.There are very few great places to eat. Eating out at good places is expensive.
