@@Grokford that's not what emotional chastity means. I'd suggest praying about it because your emotional reaction to a very prudent practice (emotional chastity) is telling

@@GrokfordI’m thinking there isn’t a clear understanding of what this means in this conversation… reading this 5 months later, maybe you don’t care anymore, but anyway… emotional chastity = I’m married to my wife, how much should I be thinking of another woman? How close should I get to other female friends etc? That’s in a nutshell what emotional chastity is regarding. It’s not as complicated a topic as people like to believe, but is more so an issue that women struggle with more than men as they live more inside their heads than a man, thus, ‘emotional chastity’ is a MASSIVE topic in women’s Christian circles.

I think it depends to some extent on level of interest in sex. I'm a very mature lady, ok, I admit it, I'm old. But, if I get another opportunity for love, which I'm praying for, it's going to have to be a pretty short courtship and engagement because I am still very interested in intimacy within marriage. 😊Someone with a cooler libido might not find it as much of a struggle. We are all unique but God never gives us more than we can handle.

Everyone should know themselves and set appropriate boundaries.For some,even a hug would trigger lust. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 [3]For this is the will of God, your sanctification: That you should abstain from fornication: [4]That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour, [5]Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:

Thank you so much this is so helpful I have been watching your videos , podcasts and following TOB material Blessings Dr. West! Would you consider French kissing or making out as a sin in engaged couples since at a certain point there would be there would arousal?
@Grokford Жыл бұрын
No, why would kissing be a sin? Of course there's arousal, arousal is a natural part of most romantic relationships, it's not a moral signpost.
@tinalettieri Жыл бұрын
@@Grokford No, it's a natural part of marriage. It is to be controlled until then. listen about 4:00

@Grokford Жыл бұрын
@@tinalettieri I've seen the video, that's not even the type of arousal he's talking about and it doesn't particularly matter because there is no biblical precept or prohibition which would suggest that sex is limited to marriage.
@tinalettieri Жыл бұрын
@Grokford The precepts are in the Torah. We believe that Jesus died so we could obtain forgiveness, but we are still to follow the teachings of what is sin and avoid it. Do a search in Leviticus to see what sexual relations are forbidden.
