A Datsun 240Z 1972 that was restored from an unworking piece of junk. Built from scratch and painted. Already sold.

Your valve seals are damaged they need replacing. Engine oil is getting past your valves seals and causing your tailpipe to blow blue smoke.

The exhaust pipe is throwing out a lot of blueish smoke. In my day, that meant that engine oil was getting past the piston rings.

Great lookin' S30. I think I will copy your choice in styling with a difference in mirrors. I really like the way you cleaned up those sides. No side markers and no bump guards. Makes it look real clean. It's a shame that you sold it. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy mine.

I've seen a lot of Z's but that one is the absolute best one I"ve ever seen. It's like you found a new shade of black that's even blacker than black From the wheels to the fender flares to engine itselfs strikes just the right balance of bringing out the true potential of the cars design while staying as close as possible to the original build of the car. And the wet, super gloss black paint job is so deep it looks like you could jump inside the paint and swim around for a while. Simply outstanding!

Coming from a muscle car guy. I fucking love the 240Z. Its a damn sexy car. Sexiest car to EVER come from Asia. That being said, that inline would have to come out if I was building one. I would drop a turbo LS in it.

I had one of the better Z's in the 80's.. a 72' in Competition Orange with Z stripes along the Rocker Panel and American Mags for wheels, Factory AC, and tear drop side view mirrors on the doors. L24 motor with original SU Carbs. 0-42 mph in 1st gear. 75 mph in 2nd...

No, the original motor in these 240's was an inline 6, 2.4 liters (L24). This is a turbocharged inline 6 from an early 80's 280zx turbo (L28ET).

Your valves are messed up. Too much noise plus the smoke. Yank the motor and start over. Get rid of that silly exhaust tip too. It looks like some asians honda low rider so called tuner car exhaust

You sir are extremely wrong, he is running an l28et, in which some of the heads had solid lifters and some had hydraulic. the p90 head is solid lifter, the p90a head is hydraulic. I own a 77 280z with a flat tappet head and mine has never ticked like his does. either his valves need to be adjusted or his valve lash is way off. You should not claim to know these engines just because you have a z car

wrong, they are not watanabe wheels. They are definitely not 18's or 19" inch wheels. Have you seen an s30z with 19", that's an ugly site. I use to own a pair of these wheels. They are Rota RBR 17x9 -13 and 17x9.5-19 offset rear. They have the same offset of the 16" watanabe type r wheel, but are different. Watanabe has stepped lip, while this one doesn't.

Watanabe's for sure. but i think he is running a bias rear. I think teh rear are 19's and the fronts are 18's but i could be off but for sure its a watanabe.

The only thing I don't like are the wheel flairs,. imho they ruin the lines of the car. I had one back in the day when I was 20 or so, it was nowhere near as nice as this one mind you but I still loved that car.
