I had a Datsun 240 Z that I bought off my brother when he burned out the engine. It had wheel well flares in the front and back and had 235x50x 15 tires on it. I completely redid the car. I rebuilt the engine myself and it had 11 1/2 to 1 compression and had triple Weber’s on it. I had KYB struts and it was lowered 1 inch all the way around. I had a one and three-quarter inch sway bar in the front and an inch and an eighth swaybar in the back. That car handled like a dream, and it was pretty quick too. I put a five speed transmission in it and that car loved 90 miles an hour on the freeway. I even designed and had a machine shop make some turnbuckles for the suspension so they could adjust the suspension without having to shim or bend the angle braces. I really love that car but when I got married and we had a kid come along, I had to get rid of it. I wish I had never gotten rid of that car and I always hoped that they would make a modern car but in that style.

My father passed away we never got along anytime other than working on cars when I brought home my 1980 280zx he was pissed but slowly he started to like the 280 always sending me videos .he passed away about 8 months after I brought that car home I'm still working on restoring it still 2 years later now but the z cars will always have a place in my heart as my first car project but also the cars that my dad and I reconnected over.love that people are still keeping these cars and fixing or modifying them

The way Justin looks at his car and steps away is the moment you know he absolutely loves that car. I do the exact same thing with my 96 E36 M3 Techno Violet coupe. Something about how the engine sings, the feel, the look and the sound.

In an age of technology and advancement, the Datsun 240Z immortalizes a period of time where man became one with the car; the fumes, the rattles, the triumphant sound of a properly tuned L series motor singing through 6000RPM…. Nothing but love for this amazing machine. Long live the Z!

One of our favorite builds we have done here at NV Auto. This video just launched as we start our next 71 but this one is getting a LS swap. Definitely not as pure but it's going to be a ripper!!

Nice build, we share similar taste with the S30. Mine has many of the same upgrades, willwood big brake kit, T3 stuff. Even the Nardi wheel and the Schroth harnesses and the RS replica seats. I run triple carbs, haven't had any issues now for 14 years since I got her back on the road from a long restoration.

I have a 1970 240z. I LOVE this video and I love how this played out! Got some parts that helped lock him into not backing out on his dream. Very cool. The only thing i'm not in love with is the wheels sticking out too far for the width of tires. Looks alittle pushed out too far. But amazing car and amazing story!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its an Axalta paints colour from thier custom solid colour book - Paint was done in 2018.... in all honesty it is so close to the Subaru Wilderness Outback Geyeser Blue that I am using that as a touch up paint!

What kind of exhaust and header are you running on this 240z? She sounds good, I’m hoping a 6 to 1 header with it being straight piped with stainless steel 2.5 inch pipe!
@shawnknight26515 ай бұрын
The exhaust and whipple of the carbs go great together, I love that roar and popping she has off the pipe, sounds beautiful. L series are the best sounding motors of jdm and where special for their time especially when they went efi and the power they put out then was a big deal I know it’s not big like anything of today but then it’s was crazy.
