I have watched this video multiple times and cant believe he is handing a GTR his butt! The GTR is only 4th and 11th on the top 100 lap times a Nurburgring and this guy is eating these kind of cars like Tic-Tacs...That is truly a beast from the east! NICE JOB. Any haters that say you ruined that Z? Are you kidding me!
@Gims11010 жыл бұрын
Mark Rolston Thanks for the reply, I understand about the power to weight ratio but still very impressive!

Gims110 The GTR wasn't on it. Neither was this Z I would be suprised to find out that the Z and driver were going more than 5-6/10ths, I could be wrong but it seemed more like this was a break in/tune kind of drive any both cars have way more potential than shown in the video and, though the numbers are in favor of the Z it would all come down to how well the Z is setup for the track and of course driver skill. My money would be on the Z.

For years your Z has been my favorite and see why it still is. Perfectly done in every way. I've wanted a RB setup for 10 years now but bank account says I don't think so. Lol. I'm sure you get offers left and right for the car. My doesn't look as nearly as good but does look better than most. Someone came up to me and offer 20k when I was in the parking lot, I can imagine you got crazy offers.

This car is a monster build. I love it. And for everyone saying not to swap engines they must not own one bec I have two 280z and the L series engines are just so limited in what they can do. For the same price to get some hp out of the L you can swap any new engine in and have more hp for the same price

Everyone looking at this video should go to his blog. All I have to say is if you really appreciate 240z's look at hes blog and get a true understanding of how this beast was put together but this is nothing compared to the monster prodject 71 240z he has waiting to ripp the streets apart.

That's the exhaust side of the RB. There are two turbos sitting there that need to vent a lot of heat. The other side is plenty cool.

yes, still stock steering setup. Running 18x11s on all four corners so turning at slow speeds requires effort, but at speed and on the track it's fine.

To all those watching this video who haven't run in a DE: passing in a track race is not any accurate indicator of power as it might be in a simple dragrace. It's a matter of corner exit speed, power, and the driver's desire to push their car (given this event is more casual than a real race). But, yes my car is very fast. The power-weight ratio gives me amazing passing ability. Yet, I'm sure he didn't care. There's lots of passing in a DE. Only the occasional asshat gets bent out of shape.
@أحمدالمحروقي-ج8ظ5 жыл бұрын
markrolston yeah true I wonder why they make it a big deal. In a public non- standarized track most probably there will always be better cars than yours.

Always admired what you did with your car. I'm in the process of doing something similar with my 280, have a vid on my channel. Btw you still have in the stock rack and pinion? What size tyres you running up front and how do you find it for general driving?

I'm curious as to why you aren't heal and toeing and why you're not going flat out on the circuit. I understand that you can't just pass people straight up but I'd at least go ham until I caught the next person.

So, you kill a Skyline for the RB, and you kill the 240Z to put the RB in, sometimes i think people don't know how lucky they are to have a car like that, and ruined it...

Generally I agree, molesting perfectly good cars is a sin, however if both cars are in rough shape (not worth restoring to original or even resto-mod) I think it's okay to modify them with engine swaps and the like. While it's nice to have all originals, I'd rather have both originals and modified cars driving around just to help preserve the car culture.
