Are you disabling the vacuum advance and the mechanical advance ? Is this for Weber triple/mikuni triple ?

At this stage I was locking the distributor for use with an ECU for ignition control with factory Hitachi SU carbs. Same theory would work for triple carbs.

6:46, wouldn't weld it up instead of epoxy? Not sure how strong epoxy is? My experience with the stuff has never been ideal to say the least.

I did think about welding but I wanted something I could reverse if needed. I guess if epoxy fails I’ll try that 3D printed block from the thingiverse.com. I like the idea, I think it needs a few tweaks from a modelling perspective.

@@kyushaspeed I was going to install an L28 electronic distributor on my car. But like the idea of keeping original looking distributor and doing what you're doing re: the megasquirt to control advance.

I’m going with a MegaSquirt and ford coil on plug set up, I’ve been trying to figure out how to use my distributor to generate a high enough resolution signal that MegaSquirt can use in stead of spending tons of bucks on a Hoke performance trigger wheel (which are admittedly pretty sweet). Your videos showing some of your process with the MegaSquirt are all super helpful. Keep it up!
