In the story with the internet troll, he shouldn't have been that upset over what she said online. She clearly has mental health issues and is seeking acceptance. If he actually cared about her, he should have at least tried to get her help first. Leaving her to her mental illness, with upvotes online being her only source of validation, isn't him taking the high road. I can understand them getting into a fight over that behavior, but not immediately just separating. If the relationship was okay to begin with, he wouldn't think he needed to secretly record his confrontation with her. Nor is it reasonable to think someone will come to find her just because she was mean online, and of course, there is the issue that he invaded her privacy. However, post-updates, all I can say to OP is what happened to that daughter is not your fault.
