I know! In my opinion, this seems like a pretty crummy investigation. I'm hoping they look back to see why. Very sad because the daughter claimed she always knew where her mom was and its not unusual for a back yard to be dug up. I guarantee they will find a lot of mistakes that were made.

@@donaldpedigo296 My aunt is an investigator and if I'm not mistaken, whenever a cold case is finally solved, I'm not sure its protocol in every state but most times they almost always go back to find out the reasons why the crime wasn't solved.

People, stop with the hate. Think of this poor young woman finally having an answer and her mother back so she can bury her properly. You don’t know what the authorities did or didn’t do to find her. I just don’t understand all the hate in the world today. This young lady isn’t hating, why should you? It’s not hate, it is logical and clear thinking that (1) why wasn’t the ex-BF the main and continued suspect - if he was, then why did it take a 3rd party to find the remains? (2) if anything, the PD chief s/b apologizing to the daughter and the community that it took 25 yrs and the assistance of a non-LEO organization to find the remains and arrest the ex-BF (3) the disparaging remarks are all about an apparent lack of LEO competency - like each of us, LEO needs to be held accountable for results, not just efforts made

I guess the ex-boyfriend and the cops were friends. Its not far fetched either. My niece was thrown down basement stairs when 8 months pregnant. He was such a monster that his brother and sister-in-law were afraid of him. He served no time in jail and only given probation. The world really sucks these days.
