Floor is awsome, brilliant technique, clear voice, far reach, can't praise her enough. But to be fair, real music isn't a competition, so " maybe best there's ever been" is maybe a bit much. But just for comparison watch "Janis Joplin -- Ball and Chain" live Monterey Pop, it's totally different than NW but just as awsome. Or some great female soul-singers back then. Dif style singers can all be great for dif reasons. To each his own tho.

As a father of a young daughter I can kind of understand what Swords means, but I also understand that unless I keep my daughter behind closed doors for the rest of her life, someone's going to have their eyes on her. And that's how it should be. As long as it's nothing illegal s*it, I've kind of prepared myself mentally for that. There's a difference in protecting her and being a tyrant.

I think I smiled more at you guys enjoying the show, than the show itself! Great seeing a family experiencing such an awesome song and band! I'd highly recommend Ghost Love Score from the same festival show, easily my favourite rendition of a Nightwish song (even better than when I've seen them play it live in person) And, if you're after some different artists to ease into metal, I'm a big fan of Devin Townsend. He has a very wide range of metal (and non metal) songs, though, I'd suggest starting with my personal favourite: Deadhead at the Royal Albert Hall. I get lost in that song a lot, and like this recording it being live only enhances the experience of the music rather than pulling you out

I love many different types of music, have introduced my kids to a whole plethora of musical genre's. That being said, I've been a huge Nightwish fan from the very beginning, back when you could only find their music in the International Music Section at your local FYE or BORDERS. I raised my kids on this music!! NOW, my youngest daughter is raising my grandbabies on it as well. So the whole 'introducing family to Nightwish' theme you've got going on, I really dig!
