What I love about Daughter is the space they give the music to breathe so lacking in a lot of todays artists. This song is so fucking brilliantly fragile in its build and equally intense in its guitar crescendo.

Having listened to Daughter for a number of years, I will never find another song that has touched me as much as this one. It puts me in a deep emotional state every time I listen to it. So musically beautiful and lyrically sad at the same time. I hope they continue to write music like this one, I doubt I'd hear a better song written by them than this, but still their sound just makes my heart want to bleed out. Thank you Daughter for I dont know where I'd be without your music with this song that carried me thru summer '13. Please never stop writing such amazing songs that so many people have fallen in love with. I hope more people can appreciate your unparalleled musical talent.

Let the water rise Let the ground crack Let me fall inside Lying on my back Lying on my back Dry your smoke-stung eyes So you can see the light You're staring at the sky Watching stars collide Watching stars collide If you leave When I go Find me In the shallows When the time comes On the last day When they start to come down Will you just Will you run away? Will you run away? And let it all rain down From the blood stained clouds Come out, come out, to the sea my love And just Drown with me Drown with me If you leave When I go Find me In the shallows Lying on my back Watching stars collide

Youth has also been used in Grey's Anatomy in one of the saddest scenes of that... For me, the best way to judge a TV show is through its music. GA, The Originals and The Vampire Diaries have all used Daughter's music, and I think it's no coincidence that they are all incredibly powerful pieces of television.
