It’s fascinating to see how differently people learn these skills - kids especially. I got a steady handstand before almost anything else. Kids, even if they’ve had some gymnastics training, usually can’t do that, but seem to be able to do stuff that I only learned much later, or still can’t do at all! Anyway, congratulations to both of you on your Stalder presses. I am struggling with that one!

Great Technique Elodie ! Also Great Brute Strength Paul ! I'm pushing 37 next month and I'm struggling with the forward fold. So Mobility being the biggest issue while strength pushing out at the bottom of the press is lacking, while I'm able to get 3/4 down in the Eccentric then lose the position because I don't have the ability to compress, I flop down once I'm below 90 degrees of hip flexion. Inspiring stuff every day ! I look forward to these even if I don't comment on every single one of them.

Yes! She’s training 9 hours a week of gymnastics plus all the play at home

Handstand goals! Do you think practicing the leg movement in a headstand will help*, while I work towards balancing my handstand. *e.g. build up the compression strength, understanding of the hip movement etc?

Yes, but I would spend more time with the Hip Mobility, Planche Strength and number one the Handstand Stand Balance drills especially the Chest to Wall Toe Pulls
