small correction: you can still build the Doomfire Warlocks as Dark Elf riders with Xbows or spears to play in Cities of Sigmar. They're still that very very old plastic kit. And there's 4 versions of Witches/Sisters (both with and without bladed bucklers, all with different Warcry rules) instead of just 2. I agree this is a perfect start for DoK. But as a veteran who owns 6 cauldrons/shrines, this is not for me.

I didn't even know about the bucklers until I was halfway done. Had to Google the instructions to build the Witch Elves, as my box (arena if shades) only had directions for one variant of the other unit

@@Ninja6485 most instruction books will only give you standard witch aelves with paired knives and sisters with a whip and buckler, but the AoS stats and the warcry stats give four options. Simply swap a knife with a buckler and viceversa and you have all four options. I don’t own an instruction manual that shows all 4 options.

I love that you mentioned how they translate to Warcry, I like being able to use my models in both and be fun

Definitely getting this one! Got both arena of shades and the shadow and pain box so this will fill the army up quite nicely!

The cauldron of blood set is just amazing value as it can be assembled into a number of options. Just need some magnets and a drill. Not really a huge fan of the warlocks though, don't like GW pushing them in Arena of Shades, DoK Vanguard box and in this battleforce.

I really like Dark Elves in Total War Warhammer. If any of the stores in my city or the neighboring ones played I'd actually start an army... the models look pretty nice.

We are starting a path to Glory campaign in January at my local club really looking forward to getting stuck in with age of Sigmar properly

The Warlock's are also a dual kit, they can be built as Dark Riders

If anything, the Dark Riders look even cooler, although they're a Cities of Sigmar unit rather than a DoK unit.

I definitely want this box! Just started building my DOK army, but I also just bought the start collecting box which has a lot of the big units that are in this one, lol

I am not really interested in this box as it has a huge overlap with what I already own of this army but yeah it IS very flexible and for warcry you can make multiple warbands out this single offering, so I do understand the temptation! :)
