This man saved a woman from being run over, stopped a robber from stealing another woman's handbag, pulled a suicidal man to safety, chased off a group of bullies, returned the bullied girl home, and nearly got arrested twice. All in a day's work. Talk about Superman!

Reminds me of that one episode of justice league, where batman gets roped up in a complication involving a time beast and its up to the time traveler booster gold to take charge and save batman and the timeline itself. Batman, who has always seen booster as a bumbling idiot, finally sees booster as the hero he is only for his mind to be erased when the time travel shenanigans are resolved and batman goes back to treating him like an idiot and booster just keeps his chin high and gives him a smile.

Yeah i agree. They shouldn't worry about their actions due to what could result from them. If they are a good person then just do it because they'll get remembered. But this is for average people, always remember this, whatever the situation may be, if you want to do something even if it is scary or hard, remember why u started doing what you do and got wherever you are now and use that as inspiration to keep going. If you have the choice of doing something big for the world or people and you are scared of getting hated upon or receiving criticism, then just do it and get emotionally stronger. Oh and always, ALWAYS, remember this, you can do whatever you want to in life so when you don't do something that will get yourself put out there, your never gonna get noticed for what and who you truly are. Your just gonna be another person that passes by at school and in the background almost like your not even there when it comes to people's memories of you. For anyone who read this, take care of yourself. Have fun in life. I would really appreciate if you liked living and being around your friends and family and whomever and whatever else you love in life. Enjoy your life for me ok?

There is something about this song... I may just be an ordinary 15 year old boy... But this song let's us know there are still people in the world continuing to show kindness, and proving they care for society... Also it helps girls see that the good guys out there they are nothing but nice and try there hardest to be with the one they want, they girls blown them off for some 'bad boy' when clearly there is someone there who truly care for them. Sorry for the rant guys, thanks to who ever read this. Let's get the point across to the world that there is still good left in our lives!!!! People who receive pleasure by helping there before themselves. I'm proud to say that I try to be one of these people. My life revolves around trying to help others and make others feel special. I know what I want to do in my life, yet im only 15. I want to help people. Thanks again guys

Preach it! I also like to try to be like that even though im only a 14 year old girl. It's hard sometimes to help people or stick up for them cause in middle school you are weird for trying to stick up for someone or laughed at and pushed around. And if it's a boy ur sticking up for I apparently automatically "like" him for trying too help. Sometimes i don't even try to help people but I always regret it cause if I was in that situation then I would want someone to help me. There is so little people left in this world who try to help and make a difference because of society today. I try my best everyday to be a better person and help someone who's getting picked on. I try to tell myself to just do it and ignore all the rude and stupid jokes and the laughter I get for sticking up for someone. I just know that I made them the happiest person in the world and showed that someone actually cared

Daughtry is so underappreciated. I was in a car accident a few years ago that totaled five cars. A nurse on her way home from an overnight shift who happened to be driving by witnessed the accident and pulled over before paramedics or police could arrive and administered care to one of the other drivers who had hit his head and was bleeding pretty badly. She had us call his wife so that she could head to the hospital and meet him there. She said she didn't typically take that route but was so glad she had that day. Superheros arn't in movies, they're all around us.

Sometimes being a hero feels pointless. Your deeds goes unnoticed, your struggles seems to repeat themself. So why do we keep going? Because the 1 in every 100 who says, “Thank you”, gives you a hug, means more to us than we will ever realize. So be a hero to those you meet in your daily life. That hug, high five, bad joke, you being silly, might just be what a person needed to smile again. And a smile is all it takes to give the encouragement, that tommorow will be better.

There will always be a hero among us, unrecognised, unappreciated, and even ignored. And we know we have so many in this times of the pandemic, dedicated men and women, working at harms way, oblivious to the dangers before them with only one purpose, to help the best way they can, expecting nothing. Supermen and women in our midst. We owe them so much.

DMT and other means, provide the opportunity to experience "God." Once you know that you are one with "God," then you will see that the value of human life has intrinsic value greater than that which we give to individuals, be it good or bad (love or hate). We have not evolved to this point yet, where we can accept that all people serve the "one" rather than "oneself." So we will continue to worship individuals as "false idols." Heroes are not to be "placed on pedestals" and treated as exceptional people. What they did might have required heroism, but the act itself is as natural as breathing. To do otherwise is to turn away from one's conscience; one's connection to "God." We should recognize not bravery in doing good, but be inspired to do good *_regardless._* "The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it." -Thucydides

It's because society has labeled PAID PUBLIC SERVANTS a hero and there NOT, anyone paid to do there job is not defined as a Hero; that's a gesture given to someone who goes above and beyond to save/ protect another they only know in passing. We as a society well most bought into media hyping the word up for self recognition to servants of the tax payers. I'm 63 and I witness this word tossed around by parents to kids on firehouse tours oh these firemen are true hero to the community when reality is that's their jobs they chose the professions to get paid too put ones self in harms way. I'm not knocking them for there job, I'm only knocking them as they are not a True Hero in any aspect when doing there Job duties.

There's plenty of good in the world, and plenty of good people, but the problem is that the good people are taken for granted and glanced over, whilst the bad people and bad moments aren't. For example, how many times do you here about a good deed on the news, like someone saving another person from a mugger? Not as often as you here about a murder or rape case. Unfortunately, good deeds and the good people who perform them will often be overshadowed by the misdeeds and crimes of bad people. We need to acknowledge and thank all the small time heroes and good samaritans, instead of focusing only on the bad people.

Does anyone realize how sad it is that this is real life? That, when someone is saved from getting hit by a bike, they don't ask why they did that, they just shoot them down? That when you try to help, everyone makes to look like you were making it worse? That when a man is about to jump, no one tries to talk some sense into him? We just stand there, hoping to catch it on camera to update Twitter? That only a little girl understand this.

How can many people NOT Getting the OBVIOUS Message of Mr Daughtry HERE ? The guy IS Superman but we re in an era were GOOD is seen as BAD and BAD People are seen as the HEROES and GLORIFIED while the real HEROES Of Today (nurses, doctors, firemen ect) are treated mostly with disdain&ignorance towards the LIVES They SAVE..This song is about doing GOOD DEEDS on a daily basis. You seen a blind person trying to go across the streets ? Ask him/her gently to help him/her and hold his/her hand. Give your seat to a pregnant woman or an elder who is standing on the bus, stand for weak and lost person by just LISTENING To THEM and telling them they're worth it. The morale of the video IS , Despite "Superman'" getting treated like shit the whole thing HE ENDS UP getting the REWARD Of having saved HER LIFE and make her self feeling better and protected. Everybody can be a HERO by just doin those kind of things...

The REAL "Supermen" are the Men & Women of our Society who save countless lives - without being noticed or congratulated for their efforts. The REAL "Supermen" are the ones we don't hear about in our News or on the street. Well Done Daughtry - the meaning behind this video is strong. Its a real shame this does not have more views than that horrible crap put out by Nikki Minaj for example. Keep doing what you are doing Chris. :-D

I love how realistic this is. Oh, and I get the feeling the guy who was helping everyone else up was also waiting for his own Superman, whose clearest form was the girl who thanks him at the end of the video.

Fun fact; I never knew about Chris Daughtry until The Masked Singer, season 2 and the character is The Rottweiler and everyone is saying that he is The Rottweiler, and I can hear it in his voice and I just want to thank Chris for making such awesome music like this. This guy in this musics video does everything a hero would do, he doesn’t even get a Thank you until the end but still keeps saving people’s lives and without as even a thank you for saving their lives, and he even almost gets arrested for taking a girl home to her mother who was worried sick about her and it took the girl to save him from being put in the slammer. A hero doesn’t go around saving people just for recognition, a hero is someone who does the right thing and doesn’t ask for a thank you, because a good deed done is enough for them.

You'd think he'd be able to get a shirt without so many holes in them. I mean, even Homeless people ought to be able to find a shirt with less holes in them. What could this person possibly do all day besides saving people that creates so many holes in his shirt? Love the song, but damnit, all those holes were distracting. I don't know why but it just annoyed me...

I totally agree with you. This is by far the greatest music video ever and Thomas Decker is awesome as Superman. But you know what? It's actually the other way around! In an interview, Chris Daughtry, a big fan of comic books, he said that he was inspired to make this song the day he went to see the premiere of the movie Man of Steel, that's why this beautiful song is all about Superman.

I think the video is great! It matches the song because the subtle message is that everyone's waiting for "superman" - who may not be who they think it could be. The woman who got he purse stolen would probably never ask that guy for help because he looks like a bag snatcher himself - he was the only one courageous enough to save the man from jumping, it's as if the man was testing to see who WOULD save him - and the little girl getting bullied got saved by what she sees as her superman because no one has stood up for her. Just my interpretation. The song is GOLD! Love it!

But that's the best thing about him. He doesn't yell back at the cops or try to defend himself at all. He did something kind and he didn't expect it to be noticed even a little. He didn't expect to be praised or to have anyone be grateful. He never said a word when people shouted. He simply walked away. That's the best thing he could've possibly done in all those situations.

Actually cops is a lot if Hollywood stuff. My dad's been on cops 3 times (he's a cop) but it's so unreal! Cops aren't like that! They don't think that they're better than everyone ik hundreds of cops. None of them think they're better. They just want what's best for this world & country that's ruled by a stupid guy.

This song is my husband, he is my superman. He rescued me when I was in trouble and that girl that is getting picked on is me. I thank god everyday for him being in my life, because without him, I believe I would not be here on this green earth no more. This music I believe is based on my husband of what he went through and how we met one and another.
