This one has become one of my go-to's when inviting guests over because it *DOES NOT* disappoint. I've also experimented with it over the past year or so and you can honestly do some crazy delicious stuff with it. Adding a nice smokey bacon is a game changer, messing around with toppings like roasted garlic or crispy shallots is incredible, etc. Thanks for showing us this one, Sonny. Never would have found it without you!

ok dude so Thanksgiving is a huge deal in our family and I do A LOT of the cooking. We typically have around 28 family members to feed. I've been binge watching your vids today and I've now updated our TG menu to include this dish and your deviled eggs. I'll also be upping my Brussel sprout game after watching your vid on that!

If you keep your sliced potatoes in cold water you can keep them from that oxidation that happens while layering. doesn't affect the taste that much but is just another one of those nice little details to elevate your dishes

This recipe looks amazing and I'm making it for Christmas Eve dinner. The recipe and method appears to be the best one that I have found. My question is,: In the video it appears that Sonny does 3 layers, but the finished piece has many more layers. The dish looks to be a 9x13? So,....I'm wondering how many layers it will take for a dish that size, or should I choose a smaller dish that would make more layers? I'm serving 6 people. Any advice would be welcome!

Hi Sonny a very lovely dauphenois mate, I haven't made this for a while and I like the addition of cheese. I had a good few days on my channel, I've broken through the 1000 subs. Now just hopefully less than a week until I reach 4k hours and can start making about £1 per week? A mighty oak has to start from a tiny acorn right? Have you ever tried to do a live stream? If so what did you do and was it worthwhile?
@thatdudecancook5 жыл бұрын
Uncle Matt's Cookery Lessons congratulations on 1,000 subs buddy! My Adsense currently makes between 4-8 US dollars a day, are you ranking your videos in search? I haven’t done a live stream yet but I want to do one soon!
@unclemattscookerylessons5 жыл бұрын
@@thatdudecancook Thanks for that, its been an exciting few days with my channel, I have a bread and butter pudding recipe that is now getting a lot of views and bringing new subs on board, unfortunately it's an old video that I'm not so pleased with, but I cannot complain as its helping. Not sure what you meant about ranking the videos, are you referring to the community guidelines re made for kids? As yes have done that. But you probably mean something else so please if you can let me know how to do the ranking. I asked about the live stream as I heard it can really help a channel, I've thought about trying to cook something in about an hour or so but my kitchen setup doesn't really cater for that as its tiny. What were you thinking about doing please? Hope you don't mind me picking your brain like this?
