We are individuals. That is why there are over 100 dietary theories. When it comes to your body, all you can do is learn, test and be able to change your methods of if they don't work, or u find something that works better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

His bullet proof coffee is awesome. He does have some good tips here and there but he also says a lot of false statements. I’ve taken the full personal trainer course from ISSA, and continue to studying nutrition and diet and other health and wellness material. There’s no substitute for educating yourself FIRST being a doctor or bio hacker don’t mean you’re always correct. There’s also many other notables to consider critically and yet still learn from are Menno Henselmens, Dr Lustig, Dr Berg, Dr Cassar, Bryan Johnson, Dr David Sinclair and tons of others. I don’t assume I know everything but I have a strong foundation in training diet and nutrition.. and I have the evidence based research from many credible sources. However I have enough knowledge to smell when they are straight out WRONG.. Dave Asprey said taking excessive sugar doesn’t cause diabetes. He’s totally wrong about that. Yes the body goes through a complex change of phases after sugar consumption.. but in its totality sugar WILL cause insulin resistance and diabetes this is not open to debate just like you can’t debate mathematics. 1 plus 1 is 2 ..Dave is kinda wacky at times

All I know is being moderate has saved me truckloads of effort and obsessing. What I find is if I wait long enough ...then people come to my point of view. When everyone was on the Pritikin diet I took no notice and ate butter on my bread and yoghurt. Everyone on Pritikin looked dried-out and stressed. Macrobiotics? We'd call it Macroneurotics.. It goes on. More fanatical thinking. If you're stressed you aren't going to absorb food properly. This is basic. Best avoid processed foods, that's a given. Eat organic if you can but if you cannot, then get leafy greens that are organic, Wash your veg with detergent clean them and dry them. Plus neither of these guys mention the ubiquity of alcohol and how adverse it is on the body. It's a major carcinogen. Also many people cannot process caffeine. So just reduce your caffeine and have it in the morning. No need to be fanatical. Just watch your body and take note. IDK why everyone is crazily wearing spandex and riding bicycles to breathe in pollutants in concentrated bursts and try to wrangle the traffic. Diesel fumes in particular are carcinogenic. The bicycle crowd are particularly annoying IMO. A brisk walk each day with some uphill, relax, and do some stretches. It's easy.

@ Morality and nutrition are 2 separate topics. They don't have anything in common. Trying to conflate them is probably a non sequitur fallacy. Should a lion feel shame for eating what is required to keep him strong and healthy ? Also, vegans conveniently "forget" that plants are also living beings, and they also don't want to be eaten (hence the lectins). Morality blended with nutrition = mass manipulation .

Professional bodybuilders are maybe 6% at most before stepping onto a stage.. I mean, 15% body fat is extremely lean and you are showing all your Abs. below 15% you are absolutely shredded, But below 10% is extremely rare. Them saying this really does damper their credibility. Everyone is making extremely negative comments about his aging. This should be a wake up call for people to understand that a primary cause of any premature aging is stress, trauma, and other mental health issues. Nobody ever knows anyone else's histories or private struggles. People should listen objectively, take what resonates and leave the rest.

55 and still going stronger than ever, never got into longevity supplements but look at lot younger than I am, as a hunter my protein comes from venison elk buffalo turkey fish and beef I get from a local farmer, make and collect my own chaga and grow organic. Don't complicate anything with foods. Best anti aging ever is simply resistant weight training and getting your Vo2 up and what you believe you become as the mind doesn't know the difference to whats real and whats not, simply think about eating a whole lemon and your body acts as if you did and produces the same chemicals as actually eating it, So, what you think about you bring about.

He's absolutely right about Omega 3s. Excess PUFAs esp long chain fatty acids like DHA, and even EPA, is hard for the body to get rid of. It's really no different than how the body can't get rid of heavy metals. Body's recycling bin is called lysosomes. What lysosomes can't digest start accumulating in your body, and will even eventually show up on your skin, called *lipofuscin* (sometimes wrongly called liver spots). I too learned the hard way after mega dosing on DHAs

I look at my watch for my heart beat and it goes down pretty quick to tier one. I always thought staying in tier two was better but im glad to know that my body is adapting fast and that it is a good thing. @AtoZandba 😆😆😆 I just got back from the gym and I decided to do lighter weights because I'm old. Everyone tells me to go easier because I don't use a belt. So I worked out with 320lbs sets of 4. Did 3 sets of then went to 340lbs. My max this year in squats is 380lbs but I'm getting older. I normally do 400lbs once a year. I only started heavy weights at 58 years old. So I'm late to the game. I did up my deadlift to 420lbs no belt. And my workout out sets are 3 plates on each side now of 8 reps. 3 minutes rest. So, for me it's not showing off. I have depression so I punish myself with heavy weights because my mental pain is worse. My form is strict on the leg press and I keep my butt down. I do 30 minutes of yoga so my ankles and hips are pretty flexible. I think it's rude to put people down when you don't know me and my workouts. But you do you. Oh, but I do appreciate your opinion. Even though it was wrong. That's the great thing about our country. Be blessed. ✌️😊

I'm anti-vegan as I don't see it as an optimal natural healthy diet (without supplements) but Dave's anti-vegan comments in this video are not supported by evidence. The reality is there are vegan centenarians and they don't look much older than Dave. Dave doesn't look like he'll get close to centenarian longevity. So as much as I'm not interested in giving up meat, every time someone comes out and makes anti vegan comments similar to those Dave made in this video it harms their credibility because they are ignoring the evidence. You can't go around making expert claims regarding longevity and say vegan is not the way or vegan is nutritionally deficient for the purpose of longevity when vegans are living past 100 years old and when it's clear you're not going to live as long as those vegans.

00:29 🧠 Dave Asprey emphasizes speaking the truth without softening it, even if it triggers others, as he values integrity in communication. 01:54 🌱 Focusing on gut health with probiotics like Seed can yield noticeable benefits within days, making it worth trying. 02:49 💡 Developing a "thick skin" mentality isn't about enduring negativity but rather about feeling secure and not investing time in relationships that aren't conducive to growth. 03:58 🧘‍♂ Being triggered indicates a lack of self-control and suggests susceptibility to external influence; Dave Asprey encourages personal responsibility and self-awareness. 06:57 🍏 Dave Asprey highlights that while fructose in moderation may not spike insulin, excessive consumption or pairing with a surplus can lead to issues, advocating for a limit of around 30 grams per day. 08:48 🍰 Dave Asprey suggests that omega-6 fats, rather than sugar, may be more problematic due to their impact on mitochondrial efficiency and inflammation. 14:21 🔬 Dave Asprey warns against excessive consumption of Omega-3s, suggesting that phosphorilated Omega-3s or sn2 fish oil may be safer alternatives. 18:15 🍽 Dave Asprey, a longevity enthusiast, advocates for maintaining moderate protein intake for longevity, emphasizing the importance of amino acid balance. 20:29 🥤 Insulin plays a significant role in muscle growth after lifting weights, highlighting the importance of timing nutrients and stressors for optimal results. 21:37 🏋‍♂ "MTOR stacking" involves suppressing MTOR through fasting and coffee consumption before weightlifting, followed by consuming protein and carbs to maximize muscle growth. 28:30 🍖 Animal protein intake, supplemented with collagen or glycine, is crucial for preserving muscle mass and brain health, as plant-based proteins may not provide adequate nutrition. 30:34 💪 Emphasizing "slope of the curve biology," Dave suggests that quickly turning on and off stressors, coupled with adequate nutrition, can lead to more effective adaptations, challenging the notion of spending hours in the gym for optimal results. 36:21 🩸 Lowering your heart rate quickly after intense exercise can aid in faster adaptation, suggesting the importance of rapid recovery strategies. 37:05 🛌 Implementing recovery methods such as deep breathing, visualization, red light therapy, and cryotherapy can expedite the return to baseline, facilitating the body's adaptation process. 37:48 💪 Prioritizing efficient recovery becomes crucial, especially when facing intense training regimens, to prevent overloading the body with excessive stressors.

Bravo bravo bravo Dave for discovering methionine and its link to cancer growth!! Yes! The other thing to know about cancer is antioxidants! Antioxidants protect cancer. So while antioxidants are good before cancer they are not good when you have cancer because before cancer antioxidants are protective of healthy cells but once cancer starts and because cancer cells are rapidly dividing cells they grab up all the antioxidants to protect themselves. The cancer needs them more than healthy cells because of how rapidly they are dividing and creating oxidative stress and free radicals

@@guflportgyrl I’m not sure which topic you are referring since you didn’t clarify but if you’re wanting to learn more about methionine and its link to cancer go to Pubmed. Type in “ Methionine and cancer”. If you’re referring to antioxidants do the same thing. Although antioxidants are a little more tricky so you have to search properly for the correct topic. Reason being is that antioxidants are healthy and needed prior to having cancer but once you have cancer you need to stop because they protect cancer once it starts. Try typing “ glutathione and cancer”. Again, it’s very critical to understand with each conversation or article that you read whether the topic is antioxidants before cancer or after. Absolutely vital distinction

Dr. Rhonda Patrick advocates for people to take adequate Omega 3, which is a very reasonable and science-based stance. I’ve never heard her saying someone should take a high dose like Dave mentioned.

Very high dosage of Omega 3 causes heart palpitations. My trigger is around 6 grams per day. I take Omegs 3 but not every day and in smaller amounts

She has said that she takes 4-6 grams, which is on the high end, but she acknowledges that.

Dave has had a hair transplant, several square inches of skin removed, and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stem cells injected yet he looks 10 years older than his chronological age.

@@stevetb7777 So sorry, I'm tired. That whole paragraph was about Chaffee, but it's the same with Thomas. He looks completely different now compared to his old videos. The extremely stretched skin where he can't even move his face.

Well my whole paragraph about Chaffee was deleted but he's definitely Botoxing, both of them. Check out Chaffee's live from last night he looks awful, very unhealthy. Neither one of them are going to say it. Chaffey is desperately trying to hide how bad he looks. I was just shocked when I saw Thomas because he's 10 years younger than Chaffee and doing it. I'm not the only one saying it about Chaffee. The women are noticing it first, then the men when I point it out. His whole image is a total facade.

Lol. Every time I see this dude nowadays I think of how dramatically 'aged' he looks compared to only a few years ago. Idk if it's his regime 🤷🏻‍♂️... Could just be his innate biology. There's quite a good number of less 'melanin inclined' people that tend to hit a rough spot in aging at his maturity

I can honestly say through years of training for marathons when off season and stimulating less fat goes up slightly. When training hard restarts then I get ripped and can run further for longer without getting injured or tired. Nothing replaces hard work. 15 minutes won’t do anything for you long term no matter how hard you run for 15.

True, people have tried to cheat their way out of hard work (sports, study) for ever - only to find out that it doesn't work. Laziness is called today "biohacking". What will they think of next?

As someone who is conscious of my diet and nutritional balance, I'm also reminded of a bit of guidance from Dr. Dean Edell, which is the title of his 1999 book, "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry". I'm not here to endorse the book; I'm endorsing Dr. Dean's principle of balanced, relaxed living. Now that I'm in my mid-sixties, I summarize this in my coaching tagline: "Tomorrow's mastery begins with mental calm today." Cheers!
