I also improved my low functioning thyroid. I don't take any medication anymore. I used to get colds, the flu twice a year and I haven't gotten sick since changing my diet to eating any kind of meat. I eat what I can afford, eggs, and rarely cheese. Drink only water, although I tried drinking tea a few times but reacted badly to it. Before I changed to carnivore eating, I was keto for 1.5 years, Paleo for 2 years before that and before that I ate a Mediterranean diet. Besides weight loss the biggest thing about eating carnivore for me was the massive improvement of my mental health. That's very pressious to not feel depressed all the time and being crazy moody. My digestive system which has ruined my life is giving me no more constipation, gas, or flu-like symptoms… sorry, even though, that wasn’t my goal. All of my food allergies have stopped, my skin has become clear and healthy… (that’s right, not my goal). I have aggressive prostate cancer that has been resistant to multiple surgeries, Chemo, and radiation treatments. It has been a mass with relentless growth in my spine. I told myself I would try carnivore because I heard sugar may be the reason the cancer is so aggressive. (I’ve always been a sugar addict). My oncologist has stopped all treatments because there is nothing there to treat anymore. (In 60 days) all my lab is flawless with the exception of my PSA still being elevated slightly. Yes, grass (there's a sort of grass that "they said it can be eaten"). But, oh boy, my body had suffered a lot. And now nobody can convince me of anything else. When I hear young vegans saying after 2 or 3 years into this crap that you "didn't do it right" it just makes me wanna laugh. Boy oh boy! I didnt do it right? If I didnt do it right after 25 years of searching and researching, what about the rest? Who can do it right? I am into keto+carnivore nowadays. 2 months ago I switched from the SAD (sad Australian diet) which is based on the American one, but with more beer. I am 53, 5'11" and weighed 315 lb naked. Went to a very strickt Keto on 16:8 IM and have over past 4 weeks transitioned to OMAD. I am now phasing out veg and coffee 😭 and plan to go Carnivore by Easter. I am now 265lb in exactly 8 weeks. I have had the odd cheat but nothing major. I have lost 5" in waist dia All of my pants no fall down without a belt. I am doing light to moderate exercise, mostly brisk walking and bike riding for an hour every other day. I work a sedentary job, so getting up and walking about as much as I can. I feel better than I have in 10 years. My blood pressure has dropped from 145/88 to 107/77 Resting heart rate average is 50 bpm, it was 68. I am lucky I didn't have any other medical issues but I have no need to take anti inflammatory medication, as I was for injured shoulder, no medication for 7 weeks now. I have no plans to stop. Goal is to be 190 lb, I have almost hit half way. 🎉

Do it. When I dropped vegetables and fruit my GI system problems finally went away. I thought I loved vegtables but now I realize that nobody really loves them, you are conditioned to like them because they are "healthy". You also don't need fiber to stay regular if you have the right amount of fat on the proper carnivore diet. If you think you love salad try eating it without any dressing. You have to add alot of preparation, spices sauces to make vegetables palatable. Maybe this is telling us something. Plants are full of problematic compounds designed to protect the plant from being eaten. Just try to walk into the wildness, how many edible plants will you find, how may edible animals .... HMMM : )

Liver is fried in good olive oil, seasoned with salt and oregano, while cooking, and fresh lemon juice squeezed over it on the plate!!! Delicious!!! I just did the same with chopped beef liver, and it is also delicious! With my Greek yogurt, I plan to make. tzatziki to spread over liver, hamburgers , etc. It's what you get with gyro or souvlaki at a Greek food festival!!! Add to Greek yogurt, a bit of olive oil, minced garlic, salt, a bit of grated cucumber, and some minced fresh dill. Stirr sll together, and it makes a delicious cooling, sauce or spread!!!

Love that this video is NOT an all or nothing. One size does not fit all also applies to diets. One thing i believe in is that "How you feel" especially short term does not tell your health story at all: I have been in great shape, toned, muscular, athletic, low bmi, etc. found that ive been living with a 100% blocked LAD and 90% blocked RCA .... likely for 10 yrs+ per all my Cardioligists/Surgeons. Just had heart surgery to unblock two arteries at Cedar Sinai. I was in gym and felt pretty good prior to surgery. Angina promoted my action. This is why i will not go on an extreme diet, such as Vegan or Carnivore. Im living proof you can look and feel great yet be headed for disaster. Had i gotten the right heart tests (beyond treadmill stress/CAC/blood work, etc), i would have caught my problem earlier. Bottom line; Medical industry is not yet proactive....how you feel now is not an indication of issues building inside you. Be proactive and know what tests can assist you in knowing your true health.

I ate a pound of organic grass fed ground beef almost exclusively with some pasture raised eggs. I was under eating based on what I see on carnivore now. But in a few months as well as doing a couple prolonged fasts of 36 hours to 72 hours a week. Went from 235 down to 173lbs. I'm 6'4" so that was for me too slim. Started lifting weights after that and got up to 188lbs and was very lean and muscular. I didn't even realize what I was doing was carnivore because I started off just trying to do keto and ended up finding that I liked the beef and eggs and I would also drop some butter in the beef to get the fat up. My skin was never clearer and it really changed my appearance in a huge manner in just about 4 months. I did up my food intake to eating a couple times a day and eventually I went back to a more varied diet. But I learned that the fasting reset my body's weight. I didn't just gain back the weight quickly when I changed my eating to have more carbs. It also gives a lot of confidence when you learn the benefits of eating an elimination type way of eating. I love meat so it's not hard. But if you have an addiction to sugar you have to break that and eating like this can do the job. You just have to be consistent.

People in various regions that are Blue Zones (where people consistently live a long time) eat a variety of food. They are not all the same diet, either, so more factors are at play. I have been listening to you for a month or two and followed your advice. I was 134kg pre diabetic with sleep apnea, inflamed joints and a rampant GERD problem. I started in December 2021 by cutting carbs and then in January I started fasting from 20:00 until 11:00 every day. I did a comprehensive blood test with my GP this week and My blood sugar came down to 5.5, my cholesterol is down to 3.2 my weight is down to 124kg. My inflamed joints is no longer a problem and I am of the GERD treatment. You changed my life sir and you have my thanks.

I just got diagnosed with pre-diabetic & have fibromyalgia. I've tried doing whole food plant base & it's decreased symptoms & inflammation but it's stil there. Now I'm gonna try Keto with a little meat & mostly veggies see how that works & eliminating processed foods, sweets. If a combination doesn't work, I'll try carnivore. I'm at a 5.9 for pre-diabetic. Hoping in 3-4 months when I retest I get out of pre-diabetic range. Also gonna include intermittent fasting 16:8 and at times 20:4 or 17-19hrs of fasting & wating two meals a dat..If you don't mind sharing what steps you take and diet you did other than cutting carbs? My body seems to be sensitive to a lot of things even the so called healthy things.

@@TheLakeShow First off, get used to checking for Net Carbs in all your foods. You'll first want to get down to under 50 grams per day, then hopefully under 20. Don't go too fast or you may suffer a bit; keto flu. By all means, increase fat consumption; animal fat, coconut oil, avocados. This is a must and will lower your appetite, a bonus. You'll know you're in keto when fat starts to look appetizing. You'll fail if you don't bring up your fat intake because you'll end up driving down your metabolism defeating the entire process. I found the following channels to be very helpful: Thomas DeLauer, Dr. Berg, Dr. Ekberg, Beat Diabetes (very helpful because they blood test for glucose after consuming various foods, so you can see how it will likely affect you), Low Carb Down Under. Getting off all processed foods will make a huge difference. Other than tons of avocados and some berries in very small quantity, fruits should go off your list of acceptable foods. Just too high in sugar/carbs/fructose. If you're in keto long enough, likely you'll see a rise in LDL cholesterol, which should not be alarming; again see the Low Carb Down Under channel for the science. And if you're on glucose lowering medication or insulin sensitivity increasing meds, like say metformin, work closely with your doctor because not consuming carbs while on these medications can be dangerous. If all of that is going well and you want to explore further, you could learn more about oxalates in foods. But for most people, it seems wheat, soy and sugar (=carbs) whether in organic or processed foods are the biggest issues. For me, it's dairy because I easily overdue my carb allowance which leads to inflammation. Almost forgot, seed oils. These things are dangerous and could take a bit to get your head around. Print out a list of cooking oils which breaks them down by poly, mono and saturated fats. The best are coconut, ghee, butter, palm, lard and tallow; possibly some olive. Costco olive oils for one have been tested and been shown to be real, not so for many in the stores. For sure, get rid of canola. Best of luck!

That is a fair comment. Most people eating a modern western or even a vegetarian diet would see results from going paleo, low carb or keto ie cutting out processed foods, most carbs and upping their protein intake a bit. Carnivore is just another step on that progression, and may only be required for people with particularly complicated or chronic health issues. Having said that, I am trying it (3 days so far lol) because after 15 years, low carb paleo is no longer working following menopause and I have seen a steady weight creep, plus skin issues as I age. I think its worth a try as a reset, and how far I take it will depend on the results.

True. Omitting refined grains, sugars, and oils will improve health. But that doesn't mean humans should eat animal carcasses. Humans are frugivores.

63% of the species that roam the earth are carnivores. We humans are the only living thing that is conscious and knows we’re alive. If animals eat meat on autopilot what’s wrong with us doing it while we’re in control. Also I do understand not wanting to cause pain to animals. I am big on energy, but I also believe in energy transfer. I heard this quote the other day “you are what you eat, so don’t be nuts, be a beast”. Lol

I have been Carnivore for ten years now. I found it through trial and error. I had found a way to lower my Rheumatoid Factor which is a measure of inflammation with no surprise Rheumatoid arthritis. I had at one point had a rheumatoid factor in the 8000 range while it is supposed to be less than 7. lol yes I had it bad. So after trying many different things I found each thing I eliminated my rheumatoid factor went either up or down. But one day I tried going dairy free for a month and boom that lowered my RF all the way down to 1034. So I knew I was on the right track after six months of dairy free, my RD failed to drop any further. So Then I tried high Vitamin D3 doses, along with vitamin K2 as MK7. Long story short, Don't forget the vitamin K2 as MK7. I did this along with eating carnivore and zero plants. The last time I looked my RD was at 138 and that was years ago. I have completely eliminated my Rheumatoid arthritis and as a Bonus my Diabetes went away as well as my M.S. greatly improved. I have discussed all this with my medical team people I have assembled over the years who are pro diet. Any Person who disagreed with my own treatment plans was quickly dropped until a suitable replacement was found. Anyway the team is astounded at my recovery thus far. No more wheel chairs, no more blackouts from Reactive Hypoglycemia, My weight is down 100 pounds I feel like a 20 year old again but I'm actually 63. Well I'm not 100% yet, But I have high hopes because I spent 50 years destroying my body through poor diet and I guess it is going to take more than ten to fix it but I so very happy to have even gotten this far !

Thank you Dr Ekberg for another fantastic and professional presentation as usual. I’ve been going keto. Animal fat, meat and green vegetables mosty’” with intermittent fasting and it’s been great. It has helped me with many issues. Some of the issues it has improved are 1. Keep blood sugar and insulin levels low since I am type 2 diabetic. 2. Absolutely cured some inflammation issues. Such as a frozen shoulder and a toothache. 3. Improved ADHD symptoms 4. Stopped me from being hangry also know as hungry and angry. And reducers mood swings. 5. Caused me to lose weight. Lost 35’ish pounds When I first heard of people who only eat meat and that it is a healthy thing. I thought it was not a good idea and very dangerous. Two men that I knew in the past claimed that they only eat meat but they both died relatively young. One in his mid 40’s and one in his early 50’s. In retrospect I realize now that they also drank alcohol , smoked cigarettes and used cocaine on a daily basis. I was a cab driver in Los Angeles those days and these men were my regular clients and even became my friends over time. RIP Ahmed and Milton 🙏… At least now due to videos like this I can see that it isn’t as dangerous as I thought at 1st. I certainly am convinced by now that carbs are the bad guy and fat.. excluding phony vegetable oils and seed oils are the good guy. And that fasting can save your life. My saying now is.,, “ the best thing that a diabetic should eat is nothing at all” And “fasting is cheap.. it costs nothing at all, but diabetes is expensive. It can cost you a pair of eyes., a couple of kidneys and a leg or two!!” 🙂

I have been on a total meat/dairy/egg diet for over four years now. I have lost 7 kilos at the same time as putting on considerable muscle mass, my immune system is the strongest it has ever been, my eyesight has improved as has my concentration and I now have more energy and feel better. I cut out all plant foods as I was constantly getting ill/fatigued and having digestion issues. At first we thought it might be gluten intolerance, but after cutting out all gluten for a month there was no change. Then we thought it might be a food allergy etc, but could find nothing. Then our family doctor suggested it might be the carbs in my diet, so he suggested I cut out all carbs for a month. The easiest way to do this was to go on a strict carnivore diet with only certain dairy foods allowed (heavy cream etc, no milk etc). The first week I felt very tired with no energy and motivation, but I was told this was because my body was being forced to burn fat and protein for fuel instead of carbs... after another week or so I started to feel good, then great. I am now in the best shape I have ever been in, jog 12kph on my treadmill for 20 minutes straight (not bad for 49), am stronger and fitter than I have been in years and no longer feel sluggish and get the dull headaches I did when I was on a omnivorous diet. Oh, and my cholesterol count is very good, where as I had borderline high cholesterol before. I now understand why many say the human body is not meant to process carbs and out modern high carb diets are the cause of many of the health issues we now have, such as the HUGE explosion in diabetes. I highly recommend giving the carnivore diet a go for a month and seeing for yourself. I know that I won't be sticking any type of plant food in my mouth ever again.
@nc34192 жыл бұрын
After C19, I lost 20 lbs. That was 12/21. Since then, about another 20 lbs came off. Gave up essentially all processed food, high carb/sugar sources. Now it's a mix of meat (beef, fish, pork, chicken), eggs, leafy greens (salads), broccolli, califlower, avocado, olives, asparagus. Cutback coffee to about 4 cups a day (1/4 of what it was with a love affair with cookies), have it with some macademia nuts, walnuts and a bit of dark chocolate (if you're going to have a vice) . Eat twice a day, sometimes once. Every other month a planned fast for two days. Just starting an exercise routine by walking, later it will be a bit of running and weight training, nothing hardcare. At 185 lbs. now and looking to stabilize around 170 lbs, give or take. Will trade a bit more muscle for fat (still have enough of that) and target is end of June. So, adding more meat and less carbs has seemingly been beneficial. Also use Coconut oil and Olive oil and stay away from seed oils. Mid Jan exam showed 98 D level and 5.2 for pre diabetes and that was after my December purge. Dr office called me stating I could stop taking Vitamin D supplements (middle of a cold, dark winter mind you) and didn't mention the pre diabetes as a concern. Followup July so I'll see what she says. Father died a diabetic, cancer among other health issues at 72 on a high carb, processed diet (pasta was his love) and morbidly obese for years. I am not following the same path if I can help it. While a tragedy for many, C19 changed my eating pattern. No longer ate a dinner with beer at 10pm at night, after work. Cut out alcohol too, perhaps a glass of wine on occasion/holiday. Non caffeinated tea at night, a bit of water throughout the day, seems to be working. Sleep has become better. Now need to introduce an exercise regimen. Nearing 60, it was about time. I would encourage everyone start at a much earlier age but it works wonders for anyone willing to change sans some health issue out of the ordinary. During C19, watched almost nothing but health vids so a shout out to the following among others: Dr. Sten Ekberg Shawn Baker MD Dr Eric Berg High Intensity Health Gundry Thomas DeLauer KenDBerryMD ...there are others, keep up the good work and thank you for your efforts. They haven't gone unnoticed.

I too had covid in December and ended up in hospital for a couple days with pneumonia. Though 60+, I thought I was in good shape to take it. I wasn't over weight, ate healthy, walked and took vitamins. After coming out of hospital, I was 10 lbs. down and craving steak when my taste and smell finally returned a few days later. I didn't like steak before. I also drank too much coffee one day after it tasted good again and my heart went crazy. No caffeine since. Been taking a pile of vitamins also. I feel fully healed at this point. My conclusions are I got a high dose of virus from kids showing no symptoms while playing a game in their bedroom. Though taking vitamins, they weren't enough for the deficiencies I likely had ( D, Iron & ?). I'm likely insulin resistant and have been all along. I'm doing keto now, have kept the 10 lbs. off and feel great.

For so many years...thank you for making a clear and easy to understand video about this. I might report back if I don't forget haha. Good luck to everyone and their diets. I wish the best health to everyone.

Following your channel helped me start intermittent fasting, start exercising (walking again) postpartum, understand my diet more, lose 13.2kg in less than 2 months (45days, started on the 27th of December 2022) and now I am on a high fat moderate protein diet and doing well. Have just 4kg to shed to reach my goal, I set a goal of June 2023 but I am on target to hit my goal before the end of March 2023. Massive thanks x

Thank you again for making this so clear. You have confirmed what I suspected..."it is the ultimate elimination diet". I agree that variety is good. For me, I am down to OMAD or 2MAD, low carb, high fat with lots of homegrown greens. My health is the best it's ever been and I am 67. Weight has never been a problem for me. It's been mood, clarity, depression, anger etc. I was diagnosed with Graves when I was in my late 30's. I refused radioactive iodine therapy and I am so glad I did. I have had thyroid pain off and on and I can tell when it's high or low. All of these symptoms are all but gone now. We are adding back more meat as an experiment to see if that completely eliminates them. I do have low stomach acid so that's been a problem my entire life and it went undiagnosed until 5 years ago by an intuitive naturopath. I haven't seen a conventional doctor for anything but stitches in over 15 years. It's people like you that have helped me heal. I am so very grateful!

I was also diagnosed with Graves disease but since I was 16 (I'm 25 now). My endo recommended me to have RAI ablation for my thyroid but I was not entirely convinced since it'll only treat the symptoms, not the root cause. Your case literally inspired me to change my diet & try other natural paths before getting on something so permanent. Thank you ❤

@@christinevu7399 Thank you for your kind comment. I am also now working on the Eat Right 4 Your Type - which is a blood-type diet. I have discovered that I am A+ blood which is only 3% of the population and we have specific things to pay attention to. I am sure this will take me further on my health journey. My belief is that my body is always healing even when it feels like it's not. Our bodies are programmed to keep us alive and well and sometimes a load of toxins or whatever is just too much so we think we are 'sick' when really, we are still healing. Ref: Dr. Cassie Huckaby - Grit Health If I had my life over, I would not let them take anything out of me or alter anything. I would not go to allopathic doctors unless I had a literal emergency that required stitches or something. It's natural all the way for me now. I wish you the best Christine. Keep learning, keep searching. Every day there is more info out there. Just remember that those who push a one size fits all type of eating have not taken into account our various idiosyncracies and blood types. Those things matter. Love your body and thank it for always healing.🌞♥

Glad I watched this as it explains things more clearly. I watched something on carnivore diet yesterday & I'm trying to look into it more as I suffer with IBS & joint pain etc. I eat "healthily" with plenty of salad, fruit & vegetables along with fish, chicken & meats & I have wholegrain seeded bread but suffer terribly with my IBS etc. All my doctors do is prescribe more meds. I've done the FODMAP diet for 18 months & it didn't make any difference. I'm at the point where I will try anything, but not sure if I could stick to just eating meat, chicken & fish or whether it is healthy to maintain. I'm glad he explained the vitamins etc & whats also in plants/vegetables & also said at the end maybe try it for a week & then if you're ok try a month & then maybe introduce diferent things in slowly. Really good informative video & I am definitely looking more into it & will try it for a week & see how I go. What have a got to lose🤷🏼♀️

I got sick a year and a half ago and went carnivore for seven month. Now I do ketavore. This saved my life, lost 60+ pounds in seven months. Had several health issues that this has helped or ended for me. I didn’t try to lose weight at all just get better from being soooo sick.

I actually like liver. I haven't had it lately. I'm great at cooking it. I cooked it once a week for my family starting when I was about 8 years old. FirstI prepped the onions and lightly sauteed them. My father loved it.

Probably the most nutrient dense food out there? I can eat it as a garlic, onion påte

Another excellent video, thank you. I can only comment from personal experience that I have never felt better since transitioning to keto, then keto-vore and finally carnivore (species-specific). I have never before felt this well, or been this lean and pain-free. Fruits and vegetables are generally not as bio-available as meat products for humans. It helped to move from a modern (unhealthy) diet to carnivore in stages, as your body needs to adjust. As for those experiencing constipation, they need more (meat-based) fat in their diet. Not to appear OCD, but the expression is 'the proof of the pudding is in the EATING'!

What was particularly good about this video is Dr. Ekberg mentioned how people will try all sorts of diets and see which one is the best for them. Don't keep persisting with a diet if it is giving you negative results. Some vegetarians do that and eventually give it up when they realise it is not working out for them.

Yes, it was very logical the way he explained this aspect .
