To answer your question: I think one of the reasons it's so satisfying to see that is because you, as a human, understand things like anger, rage, and hatred. Those emotions are very powerful, so you want to see them expressed in an equally powerful way. It's almost like catharsis. In the short story that sees the emperor take angron, from the perspective of one of the custodes present, he felt the emperor did it intentionally! He knew INSTANTLY that the only thing that gave Angron peace was anger. So... He did something that would make angron angry for EVER. The emperor sacrificed any chance of a meaningful relationship with Angron just to give him a little peace! 😭

An awesome conversion for an incredible character. For me, the heresy model nailed it (no pun intended). His rage, his gladiatorial armour, him butchering his legionaries and others, the dynamic pose are all perfect to me. I can see how the deamon models pose might not be everyones cup of tea. For me, it was more so the silhouette and some of the details I personally dislike, however I dont think he is the worst primarch model by any stretch.

On the other hand, when it comes to the dead marines close to this Angron or Belakor, I think better and terrific effect would be made, if instead of regular Astartes (like Ultramarines here) there'd be Grey Knights - if Grey Knights have fallen under the shadow of powerful Daemon - we're doomed and screwed!

I just wish i could see how he converted the face. The face is perfect in this conversion and i would just leave the weapons the way they are originally. I do like the gw version he kinda looks like hes stalking around, but i just feel like gws version is missing the emotion from Angron

Personally have always felt the Khorne was the most honest of the chaos gods and took him in. Not out of pity but of understanding of being lied too and betrayed. At least from the lore I have read.
