Dave explains the 2024 Saddleback Club Leather Designs. The free leather that comes with the membership includes the 14" Overnight Bag, which can be converted into backpack mode, and is ideal for overnight trips and fits up to 2-3 days worth of clothes (depending on how heavy or light you pack). The 8" Toiletry Dry Bag is a sweet little toiletry bag that can be packed to the gills, but still works great if you like to pack light. This is great. Purchased it last month and they were very helpful about shipping it out early so I could take it on my Fourth of July trip. Saving the 15% coupon for any cool limited items that may come along...... Dusty Carbon maybe? :)

Dave could you put snaps on that bottom base so that it doesn't open up if you wanted to keep that smaller form factor? Juat a thought KDM

I ordered the previous membership bundle, the one with the military duffle, more than 2 months ago and no sign of the package even being assembled. What's the go? Is there a delay in the factory or something? ¡Viva Cristo Rey! ✝️🕊

I joined 4/1 and this year’s leather has already shipped and I’ll get before last years. I reached out to CS and they confirmed it was in the que to be made and would ship when finished. I also had a back order item also still in the “to be made pile” But the quality of all my other gear makes the wait worth while. I have boots from @nicksbooks I ordered 11/21/23 that are still being built from being sent too the floor 5 weeks ago. Quality takes time and worth the smell and quality.

So I have joined the saddleback club for the first time AND this is the first time Ive discovered this brand! After receiving the package I WAS VERY IMPRESSED! But I have my eye on ALL of the GRANDFATHER COLLECTION starting with the OVERNIGHT CASE! I’m 47 but my goal one day is to own that BIG BEAUTIFUL ARSE TRUNK! I really wish I had decent credit so I could get a loan and maybe when I die IF my kid deserves it Ill pass it on, and if not, then its gonna be my LUXURY LEATHER COFFIN! HAHHAHAHHA let them try to fight over it after Im dead hahahah they can dig my ass up and try to EARN IT! Hahahhahaha

Are any of these veg tanned? Or are they all chrome tanned?

It’s all chrome tanned. They try to say on the website how that makes it better 😂

@@TheSeriesofTubes Chrome tan does have some advantages to Veg tan. Of course veg tan does tend to be seen as a more luxury tannage, but chrome tan does tend to be more pliable and water resistant than veg tan is. So Chrome tan would normally make for a better backpack or jacket than veg tan would. You would wanna use vegtan for things like wallets or belts (for the stiffness). I prefer veg myself just for that nice feeling it gives, but there is nothing wrong with chrome tan leather when used in the right situations.
