One of the best interviews ever with Dave. Very real. Really relaxed. Very cool to sit in the room and be able to listen to these two talk. You can tell he was ok hanging out there. It’s honestly weird because I’ve been watching interviews with Depeche since the 90s and been to a number of shows so you get to know these guys over the years. I even met Dave back a number of years ago. Brief but he was nice to talk to. Nice to see more music after all these years. And love the new album.

Wow, thank you! It wasn't caught on video, but when we first entered the room, Dave said "Now I get to be the fan!" and he listed a bunch of shows he listens to on the station (as well as told us that he was a donor). We heard he was a fan but weren't expecting him to actually listen or know any of our programming. It was a great way to enter the interview, and definitely made it so comfortable and easy to talk to him. He was such a great guy! We were super grateful for his time.

He comes across as a genuinely generous guy who is eager to share his thoughts and talent with us all. I just love this guy - going to see them play November 5th in Toronto 🎉

Dave Gahan is a God for me, together with Martin Gore (and Fletch), they were, and are, the Soundtrack to and of my Life, I would give so much to meet them and talk to them, have them as friends, their experience, theirs stories, their unbelievable talent... I am so blessed to live at the same time and on the same planet like they do and I think often about them, what they are doing right now as I am sitting here, writing this comment. Thoughts, dreams, hopes, believes and everything in between... Stories of old, precious, heaven, wrong, ghosts again and speak to me, songs who summ it up perfectly... D&M (DM) forever. I am really happy I fell in love with the band, Dave’s voice and their peculiar sound, it’s the spirituality that emanated from their songs that drew me to them back in 1984 when I first heard about them. It’s been long lasting love and I think I have fantastic taste in music and men 😂 Look at Dave! who would have thought he would look so good his voice so deep and powerful after 4 decades. I fell in love for life with them. Miss Fletch but I know he’s there clapping at each concert ❤❤❤

100% agreed. apparently they were asked in 2009 but fletch said the line up wasn’t right for them so they declined it…odd reason but there you go. surely they’ve been asked since but won’t do it for whatever reason, and it’s not even like they’re against uk festivals since they did isle of wight on the last tour 🫤
