Hi Dave, always happy when anyone chooses a BEV over an ICE car, consumer choice is where it’s at.

I think this is great, any thing that exposes Dave to cars other than tesla is great. The channel can do with better comparisons on different evs, as they arent all the same. It will help new people find am ev that fits for them. Plus dealerships seem awful at explaining features to people, the channel would be a great place to learn. Come on Dave invite owners to give you short videos

Nice to hear another EV driver's views on different EVs. In the end it is personal preference on what suits you, they all have good and bad points. It is still early and EVs are only going to get better.

If ioniq 6 owners want all members why not expand into an EGMP owners group. Or if that's too wide maybe 'EGMP streamline' group for the EV6 and GV60 as well! I'm shortly to receive my 2025 EV6 having drooled over the ioniq 6 but decided against it as I wanted a tow car up to 1800 kg. Essay admitted other members of the EGMP platform then they would learn how the other Hyundai techs compare together!

You can't pay me to drive Ioniq 6. I nearly fell asleep during my test drive when i put my foot down. It was that slow after living with Model 3 Performance.

But then again, nothing really needs to be as quick as the M3P. My LR is scary enough, at least my other half thinks so.

All that technology to go wrong, and keep you tied to the manufacturer for updates for ever, and ever until you're wallet is empty . Then like Apple they will say don't support that model anymore so you have to scrap it and sign up for a new one just like a mobile phone. Obsoletion built in from day one 😊 .

Salary sacrifice means that we are paying a five figure sum towards each of these. If people truly wanted EVs, there would be no need to force people into them by heavily penalising ICE and subsidising EV models. Put your money where your mouth is and if the climate nonsense it’s important to you, then pay the true cost for these toxic appliances! In reality, people choose these after falling for the promotional home-charging night rate, thinking that they’ll save money. It’s all coming down very soon.
@crm114.16 сағат бұрын
Toxic appliances? That’s a diesel car
@ComeJesusChrist16 сағат бұрын
@ No, diesel cars are fine. They are fine covering hundreds of thousands of miles without any major repair or overhaul needed to the engine and they are frugal. Meanwhile, EVs’ batteries require extreme amount of earth materials to be mined by heavy duty diesel engines that you seem to hate, then to be transported between continents by large cargo ships, which again are large diesel engines, only to be scrapped shortly after their first or second lease deals by the penny-pinching budget motorist, hoping to save a few hundred pounds on their annual fuel bill.
@crm114.15 сағат бұрын
@ComeJesusChrist. ROFL. Diesels pollute the towns and cities they drive through. >90% of battery material can be recycled unlike the cobalt used in fuel refinement. And what about the massive resource required to refine and transport fuels?
@ComeJesusChrist15 сағат бұрын
@@crm114. You mention cobalt, overlooking the absurdity of lithium ion batteries and other EV battery technologies consuming a significant portion of the current cobalt production.
@gazguzzler829415 сағат бұрын
@@ComeJesusChrist Diesel engines that can cover hundreds of thousands of miles, that may have been true 15 years ago, but modern diesels and choked to the hilt to meet EU emission laws and all that emission stuff is unreliable and expensive to fix... thats why I went electric, nothing to do with the environment, just cheap cost of ownership. And all modern engines are partly made of plastic which after 100k miles is warping and leaking, they are crap and people are walking away.
