I agree with what he said about how the mind is distinct from the brain, and the Bible itself supports that. In Philippians 2:5, Paul wrote "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus". Obviously, Paul was not telling people to take Jesus' brain and put it inside their head. So the mind is clearly distinct from the brain, and it is something non-physical.

I just can't seem to get passed eternal torment for ever and ever. I believe in God, I believe Jesus died for us etc.. but I'm struggling with this eternal suffering! I don't know how to feel any kind of joy or happiness knowing that 3/4 humans to have ever existed are going to experience eternal torment.. while the lucky few get heaven. No matter how it's explained away I'm always left heartbroken that God would allow such a awful thing. There has to be another answer to this.. Through the scriptures over & over he tried to get people to come to Him & reap the benefits of knowing Him, which are greater than a person can even comprehend. We are already headed for hell, but he is trying to rescue us. It is our fault if we don't latch onto the life-raft He has provided! "For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies," says the Lord God, Therefore turn & live!" Ezekiel 18:33

@ 36:40 Having suffered from a mental health problem myself, I wish to say that I do not blame people for taking psychiatric medication. Though I do not believe this is the best way to handle a psychiatric problem I would never judge them for doing so. For some this is the best they have available to them or are aware of. If God had not touched me in a very special way I would be more pathetic that many of them. When I say suffered I mean suffered not enjoyed. Mental health issues can be very very painful though I know a few that enjoy their dream worlds mine was my own personal hell I carried around with myself. it is not simply a matter of saying snap out of it. It is not a matter of whether you are a Christian or not but after I became a believer I had a different brand of problem altogether. I do believe that in the long run psychiatric medication is poor if not a destructive solution to the problem. Big pharmacy majority stockholders are the only winners in that area.

@@rickhuntling7338 A combination of three. I was terrified of possibly having committed the blasphemy of the Spirit. I wanted to crawl in a corner and just disappear into non existence. I had a good pastor/teacher back then who's doctrine gave me back the power to get a life. Since then that PT has essentially apostatized while He will tell you he just matured. It is terrible delusion when a really great PT apostatized believing he is getting better. When I last met him he was teaching a form of Trinitarian Universalism. A doctrine in which all men and even devils & Satan are redeemed in the end. In spite of the present problem I have this man in the past drove some great doctrine into my soul which assisted in healing me. He did this faithfully for many years until his doctrines began to morph into something like Rob Bell would preach. 2) God touched me in a real way that only one other person had a similar testimony somewhere out there on some video in you tube. 3) I was treated for a sleep disorder.

However I must say that without the other two parts occurring I would still be enslaved by the medical establishment. Even after being freed from the medical psychiatric non solution for my mental health problems there are far greater tyrannies staring me and us all right in the face. The cessationist theology does not believe in miracles but rather apologetics as to why God does not do more intervention and less allowing the natural order to proceed to its expected end. Apologeticists try to win the lost with words and interventionists want to see God win the world with further powerful deeds that proclaim that God reigns over the laws of nature and Gaia or mother earth is not the God of Gods and Lord of Lords. THe battle today is not between science and religion. The battle is between those that worship the natural creation and the supernatural Creator. Either mankind will worship serve and eventually sacrifice to the natural creation or receive the sacrifice of the Supernatural Creator. That is the essence of why genocides and wars and terrorism exists in the world today. Nature has her limits as to how many people she can sustain. God fed the 5000 and the 3000 with a single fish sandwich.

The fertile ground sometimes seem like few & far between. We pass out bibles & go through about 80-100 a month. Very few actually want to talk about it, they just want to take it & go. Others act like it's poison! But we keep being faithful to pass them out anyway & pray for them & just have to trust Him w/ the results. We will see the results one day!.. I remember my first discovery of electricity as a child. I remember as an infant sticking my fingers around the plug in the wall to my daddy's combo record player/radio & receiving my first electrical shock. I will never forget that experience which I had another similar ones few times since. Thomas Edison wanted to give us DC & Tesla wanted to give us AC. Edison went around shocking elephants to death to demonstrate to the public how dangerous AC was. If you think that DC is a whole lot less dangerous than AC then put your fingers on a HV capacitor! That argument was plainly absurd. DC will electrocute a man as easily as AC & some who stick their fingers in light sockets do not live to pull them out. However when Tesla discovered AC he also discovered a whole other form of electrical transmission called "Cold Electricity". That was how he won his battle of the currents. in a public demonstration he & a girlfriend of his lit up light bulbs letting this alleged AC pass right through their bodies. This form of electricity is harmless if not beneficial to the body. Yet this form of electricity none of us have benefited from because it has been suppressed. Tesla wanted to give us this form of electricity & more. He wanted to give us power transmission without wires & free energy. How many people have since died of electrocution? We are told this theological crap that you cannot have good without having evil with it. That you cannot have a sharp knife in your kitchen without cutting your finger once in a while or a hot stove without burning your finger. Well much good has been suppressed from the general public. Men like Stanley Meyers wanted to use cold electricity to split water to power our cars enabling them to get many more miles per gallon. Stanley Meyers was a born again Christian believer. Oh we cannot have that so they poisoned him. Justice? What sort of Theodicy crap is this?

I know the story of Tesla well through my son's study. That's interesting about Stanley Meyers. Many times on earth it seems that good is winning out over evil. So the verse, "the whole world lies in wickedness" seems to be blatantly accurate & God knows what he's talking about. He knows men tend toward greed & self-service. Yes, Adam's sin had given man the knowledge of good and evil. The problem is, evil would overwhelm good in the heart and soul of man, to the point where man could do nothing but evil (Genesis 6:4, KJV). Imagine a global society in which the culture is based entirely on violating the Ten Commandments. That is exactly what is going on today: 1) Thou shalt have other gods before me (ecumenism); 2) Thou shalt make unto thee graven images ("Mary" statues); 3) Thou shalt take the name of the Lord thy God in vain (the average TV show or movie); 4) Forget the Sabbath Day (overworking); 5) Dishonour thy father and thy mother (whiny, rebellious children); 6) Thou shalt kill (abortion, legalized drugs, etc.); 7) Thou shalt commit adultery (divorce-and-remarriage, ogling "stars," etc.); 8) Thou shalt steal (Obamacare, squatters, etc); 9) Thou shalt bear false witness (Fake News, etc); 10) Thou shalt covet (Wall Street, collectivization, etc.). That summarizes the entire world in a nutshell (emphasis on "nut"). That is why everything is the way it is. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Numbers --31:17-- was women, not girls: Leviticus --25:44-- is bondmen/ maids, ie: servants. II Kings --6:28-- was during a famine & the King of Israel had nothing to do w/ the women who killed the one son & ate him; but he rent his clothes in anguish when he heard it. Deuteronomy --22:28-- properly says "he seizes her & lies w/ her & they are found out", not "he raped her". (Dt.--22:25---27 was actually the case of rape & it says the man shall die because of it) I Peter --2:18-- says "harsh" not "cruel". Matthew --25:21- did not have the right quote at all... It was actually Matthew 15:22-28. If you kept reading you would see that Jesus did help her & said her faith was great. There were alot of wicked people in the O/T but God was against slavery (see following verses, servants were different) & the oppression of people; & he especially cared & provided for widows, orphans, the fatherless, & strangers. The verse you quoted in I Peter actually said "servant" not "slave". Exodus 21:16 says this: "And he that steals a man & sells him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death." Exodus 21:21---"You shall not mistreat a stranger, nor oppress him: for you were strangers in the land of Egypt." Deuteronomy 23:15---"You shall not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto you: He shall dwell with you, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of your gates, where it likes him best: you shall not oppress him." Lev.19:33--"And if a stranger sojourn in your land, you shall not mistreat him. But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, & you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." I will not address the rest of the subjects because if you really were seeking God you could search His book in it's entirety for yourself & find out what He really means, not slant it for your own agenda. A good bible concordance would help to seek the Hebrew & Greek meanings. I've done it myself & have found Him to be true to His words above & beyond mortal men who fail & lie....

The earth is degrading, groaning under the weight of sin, both physically & spiritually. In Genesis 3:17-- God said to Adam, "Cursed is the ground for your sake;.." and Romans 8:22-- "... all creation groans & labors.." Creation is no longer perfect since sin came into the world, this is very obvious, the earth is cursed. And like God prophecies in His book, things will continue to worsen. But God works through all things & has a plan, now & for the future. This present earth is not all there is... Paul wrote in Romans 8:18-21-- "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subject unto futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God." John wrote in Revelations 21:1a,b-- ..."And I saw a new heaven & a new earth: for the first heaven & the first earth were passed away..." and in Revelations 21:3-5-- "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, & he will dwell with them, & they shall be his people, & God himself shall be with them, & be their God. Daughters of harlotry is concerning false religions. Some do only meet on Sundays, but I think we can & should meet together as often as possible, even if it's a bible study/prayer time with our own family every day of the week. That is what my family does. The day of rest has not been changed. T A McMahon said this also. The Sabbath was day of rest but they met on other days as well for study. God also consistently, Father, Son and Holy Spirit identify as masculine by having the pronoun "He" used by all of them. I find it ironic in a day and age when accepting "self-identification" is the new commandment this is not extended to God Almighty :-) On the other hand God repeatedly makes clear that He is *not* a man. We are made in His image and not the other way around. As well, while Eve indeed came from Adam and is placed under his authority she too is made in the image of God and hence the Old Testament rule that anyone murdering a man or woman was to be executed for their crime against the image of God and the acceptance of a woman's value as equal to a man's (equating authority and value is an occult and not Scriptural doctrine).

I truly do love Dave Hunt as my brother in Christ, but I can't really agree that this sermon is coherent. He doesn't answer the question, "Why Is Everything the Way It is." His theology is kind of iffy (He believes that Jesus will be born of a Jew again and that the entire physical nation of Israel is God's people). And he makes some major assumptions that if questioned would cause his arguments to fail (He said that God CAN'T not create the humans who would go to hell). As a whole, I agree with him, but his execution wasn't very good in my opinion.

Jeff Pearson yeah that’s kind of weird. God never created humans for hell. They go there willingly. Jesus is a Jew. The Jewish people will be saved. In the end. Their is Jewish believers in every age. Right now in Israel alone there’s over 200,000 believers. That doesn’t include around the world. The whole Bible is Written by Jews for the Jews. Gentiles are grafted in. Read the book of Romans. It talks about the Jewish believers and the gentile believers. In the Bible it talks about the 8 covenants.
