Amen to your Disney thoughts Dave. I did a project for Disney Anaheim in '96 and swore I'd NEVER spend a dime in that place or their products after that job. With a Pau Ferro board I let it absorb all it will take.....then do it again. You can use a little stain mixed with the fretboard conditioner to darken the board if that is your preference. Just wipe it good.....let it soak in until it appears flat. Gotta say, usuing an opaque black stain really brings out the grain, but obviously pick what suits you. Go slow, and go light. I've even done Granadillo (red) and had decent results.

Good to know. I just put a deposit on one of these Vintera 70s Jazzes. I actually don't mind the pau ferro _per se_ as all the real 70s Jazzes I lusted after had quite faded rosewood, so not that far off the look of nice PF, but if mine looks as anaemic as this I would like to darken it a little.
