Holy Jesus..... I went to this show. First time I ever saw them live. Amazing this is out there.

My first time seeing DMB live was 5 months after this at the Marriott ballroom on NYE in Hampton, VA! Open bar and buffet, and Dave counted down until midnight! Best show of my life.

Amazing....people in the crowd enjoying the music and talking to each other instead of having their head in their phones or taking pics...take me back

If you thought the reason that DMB moved on to bigger venues was because their fan base was expanding your wrong... actually Carter just needed a bigger stage to fit his drum set.

This is Night 2 at the Muse in 1994 - New upload today (first time converted). Night 1 was posted a month or so back. Dave Matthews Band August 2, 1994 - (Tuesday) Muse, Nantucket, MA 00:00:22 Seek Up 00:14:53 Two Step » 00:22:07 Ants Marching 00:30:18 Jimi Thing 00:41:43 Instrumental Intro » 00:45:30 One Sweet World 00:51:30 Dancing Nancies 01:00:41 The Song That Jane Likes ----------------------------------- 01:06:55 Satellite (Aborted: Dave's guitar cuts out) 01:07:27 Satellite 01:13:12 Recently 01:23:30 Rhyme & Reason 01:29:11 Say Goodbye 01:35:40 The Best of What's Around 01:42:33 All Along the Watchtower (End cut) Notes: ---- First time shared (Nov 2014). Source VHS Thanks to @syf4208 and his uncle Bill who was a bootleg filmer/trader in the 80s/90s. Bill received this video from an employee at the Muse in 1994. The tape has been in storage in New England for over 10yrs. Night 1 was on the same tape and is watchable on this channel. Resynced the video to the circulating FLAC aSBD source. There were a lot of inconsistencies w/ both (aged analog) which made it quite difficult. Timestretching/cut-adjustments used. Removed a very annoying whistler from the audio using Izotope RX4 (Track by track). There is a frame rate issue on the source that starts during the Jimi Thing jam and runs through the end of Set I (end of STJL). The camera moves at that point and the frame rate drops to 6fps w/ dupe frames filling in the remaining (to 29.97). Most likely this was a built in camera slo-mo effect that was accidently turned on when the camera was bumped. After decimating dupe frames Twixtor (high end motion estimation software) was used to smooth out this ~25min chunk of video. It's far from perfect but the stuttery 6fps alternative is much harder on the eyes. The camera goes back to normal during the setbreak (removed) and Set II is fine. The very end of Watchtower is missing video (master video tape ran out at 2hrs). Dave warns an audience member during Nancies and huge bouncer comes over to remove someone from the front. The same bouncer seems to stop someone from smoking during Satellite which gets a reactive from Dave. Dave mentions they won't take an encore break and instead will just play until they are told to stop. Tripping Billies is listed as having been played as an encore for this show. If it was played it was not filmed and is not on the circulating audio source. This show video was on the same VHS tape as 8/1/94. Night 3 was either not filmed or not copied to the tape. The video for night 1 (8/1/94) is watchable on this channel at this link: Dave Matthews Band - 8/1/94 - [Full Show] - The Muse - Nantucket, MA - [Night 1] Questions/Comments/Updates: twitter.com/Copperpot5 [Night 2] - Dave Matthews Band - 8/2/94 - [Full Show] - The Muse - Nantucket - [SBD-Audio]

Thank you CesterCopperpot5 for all your hard work with all your videos. They are great to watch over and over again (I usually have one playing as I am gaming). Seen Dave about 7 times now in Toronto. GF and I plan on eventually making a trip out to the Gorge one of these years.
@mackyd95510 жыл бұрын
lol, I usually hit play on some Dave and game myself. Always planned on making the trek (from Pa) to the Gorge also...someday. I'll probably hit up Va before the Gorge its a lot closer for me + its their home base. Seen DMB about 20 times 15 of those were in a 5 year span. Love camping out for a weekend and jammin'.

I fell asleep last night at like 7pm after a long day of work, woke up at 1:30am and here I am sitting killing time on August 2nd, 2019 when I decided to come listen to some DMB from 1994 after waking up with Lake of Fire (Cover) by Nirvana at their 1994 Unplugged show. So here I am on a hot August night, and with one click by chance, I find this concert which is exactly 25 years minus about 18 hours until they go on stage on the night of August 2nd (25 years ago). What a great 25 years it's been. Plenty of speedbumps but nothing stops this music from being toured every summer

Thanks for all the hours of accumulated footage ChesterCopperPot5!!! You and OneEyedWilly5 are the shizzle. Had I not been hating on my yuppy Fox Chapel friends back in 93 saying they had no musical taste. I never gave DMB a chance til 2000. Up at a condo in 7 Springs (Pa) there was a get together. I was outside listening to an African play the guitar and an Australian sing #41. I was blown away. "Who was that?" I asked they said DMB. My jaw dropped NO WAY I thought. Went out got Live at Luther College and been hooked since I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE FROM THE START!!! DAMN IT! Thanks again ChesterCopperPot5 and all the other KZbin posters. Eat drink and be merry. Peace and good times to all P.S. check out Nahko and Medicine for the People they send out a great message
