As great as this song is, Dave will have to retire it from the live shows unless Derek is there because it will never reach those heights again. That was magnificent.

I'd like to see Dave Matthews and John Mayer put on a guitar exhibition. I can imagine John's solos over Dave's rhythms.

It's so amazing they can turn any song into a masterpiece live

Peak DMB. Crazy that I got into them in 01 and didn't realize I was entering into a tornado. They definitely fell off for awhile after Boyd and the Leroi tragedy, but they seem to be back full force post COVID.

I just don’t get why this isn’t played live anymore, it is one of their best songs and jams

Does anyone remember some idiot waiting for a quiet moment and yelling “play some skynyrd!”? I was at this show and I’m trying to find that timestamp

Love the Newsboy hat, but Dave did himself justice tossing it 😅

Carter Beauford is the best drummer on the planet!! He has his own unique style, unlike any other I'm aware of. He plays like he has 3 hands!! Him and Lars are my favorite drummers 👌👌

Being able to watch DMB live from my couch is something I could've never dreamed when I first started listening in 1994! So freakin awesome 👌 👌 PS: Carter Beauford is the best drummer on the planet!!

Boyd owned this song. Especially after Gru passed. Wont be the same withiut Boyd or Gru. But if someone is gonna RIP it up there is no better musician than Derek Trucks. Hands down, volume up. Sure do the heart that Boyd put into this song though

Finding this video….. wow. To the people who got to see this live, I envy you. Especially 9:30-13:20……DMB was on another level back then.

Coming back to this after Trey and Dave played this at MSG last night. What a journey
@beags1223 күн бұрын
Literally did the same exact thing. The one at MSG was so pure and perfectly played but Trey just shreds on this one and knowing where he was in life it was like…I’m going to be ok everyone. I fell but I’m back up!
@PapaGeorgio8923 күн бұрын
@ Big time it still gives me chills. You can see and feel him shaking the cobwebs off and just put everything he’s been through into it. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. And the light is growing brighter now

@@beags12 I agree. I was in Atlantic City at the House of Blues for New Year's in 2007 for TAB which was his last time on stage before this. As a Phan. He just cut this apart with raw pent up energy. We are all in limbo what would happen to Trey. Then this gem as he skipped out of Drug Court for🔥🔥
