Great song. This and Bismarck give off a similar vibe, put both on a record!

I've only been to 8-9 DMB shows and I knew my odds of hearing Halloween were slim to none. It's my favorite DMB song. I figured Halloween would most likely be off the table due to it being DMB's third show in 3 days. When they closed with Ants I didn't think much of it. When they switched over to Halloween it was instant goosebumps. For that one split second earlier in the week where I had to make a decision if I wanted to make another 14 hour round trip back to Alpine or make the more mature rational decision and refund my ticket and stay back with work. I'm glad I don't make good decisions. I couldn't even imagine what I would have done if I stayed back and found out they closed with Halloween. What an insane night it was! Thanks for the fantastic video!

I still miss the violin playing by Boyd Tinsley at these concerts. Him and Dave would jam with one another during these shows

This was the year I first discovered Dave. I heard The Best of What's Around in 1994 at 13 years old. Have been a fan ever since. Just saw him play at SPAC 2 nights ago & made me tear up just thinking about how much I miss those days. Time really flies so enjoy the things that bring you joy.

16:16 it was so great to see him face the moment he felt comfortable on stage. He’s talked about his stage anxiety. I’d never seen it. I was like oh no what happened to the band, I didn’t see but I see them now. His anxiety is coming out of his quirky words. Two step was rough. But I feel like I saw the shift in him and as soon as he relaxed the rest of the band did to. This was fantastic. His shows are over done and dry we all sing. I realized it when I was listening with my daughter in the car. At the end I said why’d they cut the applause short? She said there’s no applause. That’s when I realized I hear the live versions whether they play or not. The concerts are only interesting for his covers. Hes doing let’s dance, and its amazing

Thank you! I uploaded part of this to my channel on Monday from my angle in section 201. Glad you were able to pull the full thing off here! When we got rained out the week prior I literally said to my buddy that Dave is giving us Halloween as retribution for this.. can't believe it actually happened.

I've been fortunate enough to see Halloween 3x. This is a TRUE Ants fake (not just the drum intro) for die hard fans at Alpine. Holy smoke what a moment!!

@@jessemusraca1797 Yeah because I can hear that there is no violin...just a synth of a violin. Get an ear for music my guy. 😆

@@Collins311buddy is better cuz he does the violin part that Boyd sucked too much to do. There’s recordings of him trying to do it and it’s abysmal.

I have to admit, I've rewatched the transition from Ants into Halloween like 10 times now 😂 I get chills every time! I was lucky enough to be in attendance in Charlottesville at the band's 25th anniversary celebration concert where they brought back The Last Stop after an extended hiatus... to say I lost my mind would be an understatement 😂 so that was awesome, obviously.... but I'd give anything to get Halloween live!!
