Carter is literally the best and most versitile drummer playing live right now. He just kills with skills.

Been raised on Dave my whole life. This track means so much to me. Speaks directly from my heart & soul. I have made it through some really difficult times and every hurdle builds something new to my grey street. I will forever cry when I listen. Thank you Dave 😭🩶

My wife has been obsessed with DMB since they began. I was never a fan & I had little interest- I always thought it was mostly Music for women. She dragged me to about 6 shows over the last 20 yrs & I have to say- The last one was Pretty Good-They Played a Funky version of "Sledgehammer". DMB's version was better than P. Gabriels original. It's was funny because at the beginning those first 8 notes played on the synthesizer- You instantly knew it was "Sledgehammer". Except for about a third of the audience. They had not a clue what song it was.

Compared to the early 2000's version … this is weak. One of the songs which really became worse :(

Very weak...leroi gone, Boyd gone...I never thought coffin had the right energy for the band..and the trumpet gets really annoying now that it's on every song

@@grey_side_music4550 I don’t like bringing it up. But since you did, yah. Jeff plays with his head, not much feeling or soul goes into what he does day to day from my vantage point. Which very well could be a bad vantage point. it just comes off as very, I don’t know, I imagine a 5 year old kid sitting down at a piano who has never played before, and just hitting as many notes as possible as quick as possible. Except Jeff knows how to play. I mean, Just grey street, they have cut leroi’s riff in half during the verse. Because it has been so sped up, OSW, same deal. Sped up. No feeling. Seek up, same… etc etc. speaking of leroi’s riffs, those unique riffs are MIA on any new album out since Grux. You realize leroi was half the sound this band made. All the sax parts on anything new just follow the vocal melody. Ah well. Still love ‘em. Without leroi, this band wouldn’t have been the same. Think of a song like dreaming tree, or even crush, 41, two step. songs like those, as great as they already were, stripped down, acoustic, those were greatly elevated by the brass section. And in turn, the band was elevated. Just doesn’t happen like that anymore. Leroi saw himself, and in turn was, a key member of the band and the music that was created. Jeff I feel like sees himself as an ornament, and in turn, his playing becomes an ornament.
