I, as a mexican, am really proud of these fantastic young ladies. I've introduced The Warning to a bunch of people (friends and family) and so far everyone have liked their music (some more than others, of course). However a lot of people have yet to be warned, here and everywhere else. ⚡

You should still have him react to the other Pepsi Centre performances, as it is still fascinating to see how far they have come in just a year since the Teatro show.

Just imagine, since this show they have been constantly touring and have got even better. It doesn't matter what venue, The Warning own the stage. Thanks for the reaction and the giggle. ❤✌🤘⚡🔥

Yo como mexicano también estoy orgulloso de ellas, pero debo admitir que ya no son solo de México, ellas pertenecen a la música y la música es de todo el planeta entero.

i know many do understand the reference to "drinking the kool-aid" but i'm going to post this for those that do not know or understand it... from wikipedia since it has the easiest to understand description of what "Drinking the Kool-Aid" means: ""Drinking the Kool-Aid" is an expression used to refer to a person who believes in a possibly doomed or dangerous idea because of perceived potential high rewards. The phrase typically carries a negative connotation. It can also be used ironically or humorously to refer to accepting an idea or changing a preference due to popularity, peer pressure, or persuasion. In recent years, it has evolved further to mean extreme dedication to a cause or purpose, so extreme that one would "drink the Kool-Aid" and die for the cause." basically *Kool-Aid Kids* is about people believing everything that someone or some group tells them... they believe it so much that they blindly follow along with everything the group says and does... even to their detriment and downfall... this is known as "drinking the kool-aid"... irony: TWA absolutely drink the DPA/TW kool-aid 😜😹 this is one of DPA/TW's songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... *XXI Century Blood* and *Disciple* are two other fantastic original DPA/TW songs in this same vein... their song *Z* references this song in one of its verses, too... the first two of these have OMVs that depict hard hitting stories that are true in so many ways... if you haven't seen them yet, they are well worth the watch... This one is a deep cut from 2022's Error album. No OMV and it doesn't get played that often unless they're doing a long set and that was before the Keep Me Fed songs started appearing. A more slow and groovy beat rather than their typical in your face/melt your face rock. Up next on this concert are two piano ballads with just Pau playing a grand piano that they wheeled out on stage. The first song also features an 8 piece string ensemble and is off their first full length album XXI Century Blood, released in 2017. Normally they play this with just bass, guitar, and Pau on a keyboard but for this concert it's just Pau and a string section. The song is called Black Holes, it's a song about addiction and fan favorite. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXexgIWQgNWGZ80 The second song Breathe is a bonus track from their 2022 Error album, a last minute addition to the album because the record label wanted one more song. Pau recorded it in their home on their famously slightly out of tune piano. Pau has said that the song is very personal to her and allowed it to be added to the album on the condition that she would never have to perform it live. At this concert, she just finished playing Black Holes and it's been said it was a game time decision to play it since the piano was already out on stage. This is the only time the song has ever been played live and probably the only time it ever will be. When you see it, you'll know why. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJrHdaVtZ6uMd5o Disclaimer, Pau was sick during this concert, Dany and Ale were just getting over their colds. Not that you can tell if you watched any of the songs released so far. A suggestion, since Breathe is a pretty short song, and if you decide to do one or both of these songs, do them together.

@NoSmokingDogsАй бұрын
@@samechick It's not definitively known what the song Breathe is about. Pau has described it as a panic attack set to music. Rumors abound that it's about the death of a childhood friend but there's no solid evidence that this is true although it would explain a lot. Not sure if it would help giving Dave the backstory first or just showing it to him and talking about it later.

They’re way softer than what Dave probably likes, but check out Black Holes and Breathe from the Pepsi Centre! Black Holes has an orchestra, and Breathe…. Well. It got emotional.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of hate in Mexico for TW, you know because they sing in English, because they didn't grew up being poor, because they are super pretty, but there's a lot of love to, at least they're biggest venues alone in their career were and will be in Mexico in the next future.
@andgar923Ай бұрын
Sorry to break it to everyone, but The Warning is NOT the pride of Mexico. It's not just sad but infuriating when one finds out the actual truth behind where they stand in Mexico. Some people watch their videos from overseas, they watch them perform to sold out shows, at 70k people events etc and rightfully assume that Mexico is welcoming them at the airport like heroes coming home after conquering the world. The infuriating truth is: They're still relatively unknown in Mexico. Not only within the general music fans, but also amongst even rock fans. But the truly infuriating part is the amount of haters they have. For some odd reason they have far too many haters than one would assume. The false blasphemous rumors about TW run rampantly online. Really pisses one off.
@samechickАй бұрын
That's nuts.
@mexicanopolis9390Ай бұрын
The haters thing has been hugely blown out of proportion. Sure, they do exist. Some of them are really toxic and annoying, but for each hater they must have 100 fans. The proof is not only that their biggest and most electrifying shows have been in Mexico. They have also their biggest fandom here. However is true that they remain relatively unknown for most mexicans but this has nothing to do with hate. The truth is rock is not anymore a mainstream genre, nor in Mexico nor in the states. Another barrier to be better known is that most of their songs are in english. The mexican population overwhelmingly consumes music in spanish. Had they sing in spanish they'd be far more popular by now. But of course, singing in spanish would also confine them to Latin-America and Spain markets (besides latinos in 🇺🇸) and they want to succeed in the global market. In short: they are indeed the proud of mexicans. Of those who enjoys rock regardless the language.
Their sold out shows in Mexico clearly show they are popular in Mexico as well. The Mexican fans even sing back the lyrics in English and French. Since they mostly sing in English its harder to get wide spread fan support in Spanish speaking Mexico. The reverse example would be if Credence Clearwater a U.S. based rock band mostly recorded in Spanish and toured widely in Latin America would they be just as popular in English speaking U.S. Probably not. But I believe in the future The Warning will do an all Spanish CD. The Warning success over time is guaranteed because they record in both English and Spanish which are the two most widely spoken European languages in the world.
