- On site testing (Cheshire Lines) of the RFID reader to station announcement boards
For the departure board test we have:
2 x System2 RFID readers on track detecting the trains
1 x System2 RFID display aggregating and displaying the TAG ID’s.
1 x Arduino Uno + CAN shield. This reads the CAN bus and extracts the vPort data from System2
and transfers it to the departure board via serial port.
The spreadsheet database is uploaded to the departure board (it runs on a Raspberry Pi internally) which displays the train information according to the rules defined within the spreadsheet.

I am finding all the DCC electrical stuff interesting. I have dabbled with basic level DCC so am not a total luddite but this level of complexity would be too complicated for me to attempt having grown up on analogue systems in my modelling. Aron's catenary is just stunning.

When we use hot glue at work and need it to set quick , what we do is get a can of air duster ,turn it upside down it then sprays freezing air ,which is great for setting glue quickly, brilliant video guys.
