You can do an earlier anschluss by starting all your factories on infantry eq, support eq and artillery, disbanding everything but the infantry divisions and making a few (10? 12?) extra of the starting infantry divisions. The Anschluss calculation is based on battallions, not equipment in the field. Cavalry battallions take more infantry eq than basic infantry battallions. I usually do this then switch to air production after starting anschluss. You miss out on production efficiency but you can get through the focus tree way earlier.

Personally I use the 5xp you get from Rhineland to create a 2-width division template, and produce however many of those I can make, and just put all my factories on infantry equipment. Through this route you can get Anchluss as your 3rd focus, reliably.

Anschluss is good because it gives you a bunch of core territory but also because it gives access to all the juicy focuses underneath. If you rush Anschluss and the rest of the focus tree you can get France to guarantee a Baltic minor and capitulate them before they join the Allies. If you wait until 37 you will have a few extra factories for when you fight the Allies along with France.

You already effectively do get less political power while at war because you have to take more decisions to keep stability and war support high. Of course that's less of an issue if the war is going well, but that makes sense that it's less politically costly to fight a winning war than a losing one.

Instead of swapping divisions, I found that 17 factories on guns allows you to build 12x inf at once, with 20% experience ready to deploy, and spam out the divisions you need that way.. National Focus's are Reinland, Hitler Circle (for PP gain), then anschluss - Save the 50 PP on the event, it does nothing once you have 3-4 x 12 20% experience infantry in the field.. Spam out 12 more units for Chez focus (you will have over 850k manpower), then you can redistribute the 17 factories onto other things.. Also allows you to give 6 divisions (i use infantry) to Spanish Civil war, which will grind out an Infantry Leader pretty easily..

Don't know if this is already known by everyone, but I found out one of the best ways to play germany in a new dlc. You rush the return of the kaiser focus, and then rush down to European Confederation as fast as possible , then rush all the way to reach out to Scandinavia combined with doing a bit of industry focuses(I only tested going left, don't know how good it will work with MEFO bills). While doing all of this try to puppet all the nations in europe through decisions. In the end of this strat, you got the most powerfull allience with all european minors, Italy(couse it likes to attack balkans), Soviet union (because of poland) puppeted, and then in the 1943-1945 you can start an epic fight between you and allies and create a European Union as a kaiser germany. p.s. By the way you also can annex all your puppets through the same decisions with 50% compliance

I do it a little different. Basically, I spam 96 cav divisions on high priority, assign 13 mils to infantry, and have my anschluss by august 1936 (ofc, you still need spend 50 pp on that austrian advisor - that -1 reduction is important). Also, you can annex Poland and Baltic States in early 1937 because of new focus "Expanding in Baltics".

The reason autarky is so hard to achieve is because devs wanted to reflect what happened historically imo. Germany at her peak could only produce one sixth of the amount of tanks allies produced. The whole lebensraum thing was for the vast resources of the USSR and not actually land. Germany wanted manifest its own destiny but fell short regardless.

It was never patched. You’ve been able to do Anschluss as your third focus since launch, and you’ve been able to do it since. I’ve been able to do it since at least the 23rd of November, since that’s when I posted a discussion on Steam stating how it was broken. It has not been “patched,” you’ve just not found the best method of doing it yet (you literally don’t need to convert units, at all. Just use the XP from Rhineland to make a 2-width infantry template and spam that, get enough of those by the time you complete your second focus and you can just Anschluss then and there) Edit: From testing to make sure I’m not BSing, you want to make sure you put all your mil factories on infantry equipment. Don’t delete your initial IE line, you need the efficiency. I was able to pump out 79 extra divisions by 12th of March.

When you do the Reichskommissariat's, there's a special order to do them, if you release the Moscow one before most of the other Russian ones, you get the decision to have that one incorporate other Reichskommissariats to make them bigger, such as how the U.S. west coast one works. You spammed the buttons, so you release a lot of them instead of incorporating, resulting in the border gore you mentioned.

NEW GAME BREAKING BUG FOUND: U can now have 5 times artellery or anti air as Support Company in Ur Division. You just Need Both researched and then pick AA and arty as it Support companies. Even if u have already 1 of them in ur div u can switch the AA to Arty and Reverse visa , so u now have 2 times arty in ur div and u can replicate that. It works with arty and AA didn‘t Test it with rockets etc Have fun 😙

does this actually make that big of a difference? if you anchluse early you get 10 civs and some mils, later you get 20 civs so is it really advantageous? the only advantage is the mils early on. has anyone played exactly the same game but one with anchluse in 1936 and other in late 1937 or early 1938 and compared the results?
