@@fieldmarshalbaltimore1329 The German-soviet cooperation thing gives you 2 x 100% bonus for armour techs. You can go straight from light tanks to moderns (not sure whether that's a bug/mistake or not since the tree makes it look like you're supposed to do it from medium/heavies). Since you start with 1936 light tanks, you use 1 bonus and ~2 years on 1941 light tanks, and then the other bonus and another ~2 years or so on the moderns

I love that you can Get new Advisors now as well! when a general or field marshal gets to level 4 you can make them an advisor based on their traits. Super useful for smaller nations with poor advisors who can often train generals up to high levels.

For those opiate references, Lenin is famously quoted saying “religion is the opiate of the masses”, referring to the divine right monarchy of the Tzar. That’s why the actual USSR banned the Orthodox Church. Apparently paradox decided to flip the script and have the monarchists refer to themselves that way for this dlc.

Marx said religion was the opiate of the masses, and led into that idea by calling religion, "the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions," which really helps for explaining what he was actually saying. he wasn't saying religion was addictive or anything, more that it had a soothing or calming effect that can be both useful and damaging. and if it is a joke explanation, you see now why its funny

Are the paradox devs salty about bugs in their game being exploited? I have always gotten the sense that at most they are mildly frustrated that they cannot fix the problems and in most cases they simply are not particularly bothered by the exploiting or bugs unless it seriously impacts gameplay. After all, the AI cheats way more than any player, even feedback
