This is why I love this channel. I had been a Wallace and Gromit fan since "A Grand Day Out" premiered in the US but I had no idea of most of the back story of how it was made, the Christmas broadcast tradition, or just all the other little shorts, commercials and marketing that had happened between releases. And Shawn the Sheep is arguably an even bigger property. Wow.

With all due respect to Gumby and Pokey, Wallace and Gromit are the TRUE Claymation duo. I saw the first two on PBS when they actually cared about getting pledge money, and I've been a massive fan ever since. I'm incredibly excited about their new cartoon adventure, and am looking far more forward to that than Christmas. Personally, I'd say a lot of Wallace's very specific part of Britain manner of speech (i.e. "Cracking Toast Gromit") really adds to the character's charm and dorkiness. And of course, Gromit's "the things I put up with" style of mime just sells the characters perfectly. That said, am I the only one that thinks the Farmer from Shaun the Sheep is low key the funniest looking character in animation? He's like he wandered out of a Far Side comic strip with the dopiest smile known to man.

January 2025 Cartoon Sizzle Reel (the ones I could find) 1/11 - StuGo (Disney Channel) 1/17 - RoboGobo (Disney Junior) 1/18 - Chibiverse Season 3 (Disney Channel) Disney Chanel premieres StuGo, the 100th cartoon series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation will be released on January 11th with a sneak preview episode on New Years Day January 1st following the Disney Channel premiere of Luca at the end of Disney Channel's annual New Years Day Hangover Movie Marathon. Unfortunately it won't release on Disney+ until the springtime release window around April or May Disney Junior will premiere RoboGobo on January 17th at 9am/8c. And as expected, it will most likely consist of 25 episodes per season like all the other Disney Jr shows we've gotten recently. The official trailer dropped on the network's official KZbin channel last weekend. (It was originally supposed to come out in 2024 alongside the upcoming TV show adaptation of the Hey AJ! children's books series which were the final two shows ordered in the 2022-2025 Disney Junior Content Slate announced at the 2022 Disney Junior Fun Fest Convention that was held at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA but unfortunately they had to postpone it a year later due to their animation not being finished in time to reach their deadline of the project) Disney Channel will be set to premiere the third season of Chibiverse on Saturday January 18th. There's not much I can say about this one either than it's just some ordinary half-hour episode version of their Chibi Tiny Tales interstitials.
